Khareyana Spa

Last i treat myself a good spa was during our Bali trip two months back. After weeks juggling with works and stayback series, cousin's engagement last week and delayed flight stress yesterday, i think i deserve another spa session to recharge myself, especially before Ramadhan started :)

Since this was adhoc, i prefer having them close to my place and first being shortlisted was non other, Khareyana Spa. Apart from convenience, i was earlier blown by pictures in their fb and good reviews had on this spa.

The spa located in PJ, best landmark would be Assunta Hospital. It's a private bungalow surrounded with water garden..very homey. Massage rooms all located outside, so you need to walk through stepping stones to reach there!

I opted for 2hrs Royal Javanese Body Ritual. They have 2 other treatments in Balinese Sensual range, the difference here only the lulur (scrub). The process starts with massage, scrub, body mask, shower and finally application of moisturizing cream; all took place at this fabulous massage room..

Loved the fact it has attached shower room and tub, so i dont have to walk around half naked to get myself clean :) Disposables given too are of high quality, unlike Hammam's easily koyak. Here, you hardly hear any noise despite being close to road as there were music and running waters filling the room. I would appreciate they go for other soothing music, cos I always feel Balinese music hmm, abit creepy..esp time senja lol!

Massage was real good and more detail in the sense..they rub you, then they stop and start pressing some pressure points, then rub back at same place (and next of course i dozed off). Lulur this time was great too cos no yucky coconut smell and the lady ensured celah jari kaki pun semua scrub!! :) The session finished off with serving of watermelon and ginger tea.

Overall, i had a great time today in Khareyana. Considering the ambience and service, their rate to me is reasonable knowing spas of same league usually charge higher for similar duration :)

Salero Negori

Remember my sudden craving for nogori food?

I googled this place upon recommendation from blog readers and found this restaurant actually has few branches, including one in Penang :) Last few weekends finally, we went to their Amcorp branch for late lunch.

For your info, Salero Negori served both minang and nogori food. Looking at the dishes, personally i would say it's a minang restaurant which has been localised with mix of Padang and Nogori, especially with fact majority of Minangs stay in N.Sembilan after migrating from Sumatera.

The serving here is similar to nasi campur where you'll have to pick your dishes. Except here, they'll serve those lauks in separate, small dishes. This type of serving is more advantage for those coming in big group where you can try variety of dishes, economically :) For us the couple eaters, here's our pick that day :

Hubby who's fond for exotic food, was glad to have his favourite gulai tunjang (beef tendon curry) that day. Unlike other restaurants, masak lemak here is very thick..puas gile makan :) I just wish their daging salai is sliced thin, not only for easy chewing it also provide better taste to daging like i usually had from my office caterer.

Taste wise, we agreed they're authentic cos hubby's grandma is originally from Sumatera..and the food here exactly like his grandma's, especially the sambal hijau and daging dendeng. We ended up with RM30+ bill, which to us worth it considering the food quality (did i tell you we settled with 2 pinggan nasi each? hehe).

Thanks again to those suggesting this place, now my husband know where to head whenever he craving for grandma's cooking... :)

From radio while caught up in morning traffic yesterday, a story worth sharing..

This caller named Azam. His parents made him engaged to a girl he never met, while he was on PLKN training. All due to the girl already pregnant, and the man who supposed to be responsible died in accident. Relationship between the families had long way established before and to not upset his parents, Azam agreed to clean the mess.

Azam married and took care the wife. Until one day, the wife fell off stairs which forced the baby to be bornt. The baby survived, but the wife died during the battle...

His in-laws didn't want to accept the baby unfortunately, or even Azam as their family anymore. Azam, being responsible, decided to take care the baby. Turned out, his family didn't agree with his decision and chased him out...

From his voice, I know Azam was holding his tears while telling how upset he was to lose two families altogether..

I dont want to comment the parents, but you see...Allah is great. HE only test to what's bearable by His hamba and Azam was one of example. Azam survived and the little girl is now a healthy 2 year old.

Knowing the kid's age, can you guess how young is this father?

Suppose i review our stay last week at Cyberview but im putting that on hold as there are many pictures to be resized before i can upload here :)

Anyways, we went to Pavillion last weekend. Saw my dream GG Twins on net now with massive sale, so this Pavillion visit just to check out the right size. Hubby wants me to get bigger handbag, he cannot tahan already seeing me sumbat everything from camera, external drive, sanitizer etc in my current small handbag..sampai kembong bag tu. Hehe.

Unfortunately, medium GG Twins is too small for my need and their large hobo to me not so nice. It's okay..im still buying my medium except not now :)

Long story cut short, we went to other shop and brought this baby home instead..

to tell the truth, this actually my dream hantaran bag last time.. :)

We had dinner at Ibunda restaurant last night, apparently it's last day to redeem our buffet voucher there. This Ibunda located opposite Prince Court and called themselves fine dining for authentic Malay cuisine.

We were there only at 9-ish whilst the buffet starts 7pm...so most food dah habis. Apparently they replenish ALL (main dishes la), nice kan considering lagi sejam je they going close :)

We were given table next to window with view to their pool. And these are some pictures taken..

Our verdict...

Service was good, staffs very attentive. Choices not that many but reasonable knowing Malay dishes are generally heavy. Taste wise, alot to improve i think as being local we know originally how Malay food should taste like :) Place also very stuffy...made the experience hmm not so fine dining.

I initially craving for masakan nogori (big fan actually)..masak lemak cili api kind...or rendang...but none there, in fact all food there tak pedas. So if you have any place to recommend for masakan nogori, please, please do so. we dont mind driving to negeri sembilan if require so :)

I have no GPS, no Blackberry, no iPhone. I never had them in my wishlist pun to tell the truth. Probably cos i dont really follow what's in when comes to gadget.

Except this one. And we were talking about getting one the other day. The earlier the better. Hehe.

Until this morning i checked fb Machines, their status was something distributing queue cards etc...huh? batch 7 is selling today???!! How come they dont appear in my fb!!

We rushed to midvalley hoping for white 64GB wifi-3G model still available (read : 10am). Hubby siap confident model tu ada since it's the most expensive that people may not interested.

And when we got there...as expected, there was long queue. When I asked the staff, you know..

I was first tempted to get myself a facial after reading Farah’s great experience at SKII. Last facial I had was 8 years ago, when I was religious to this famous D brand. Somehow the experience wasn’t good – extraction was extremely painful that each time I left with my face badly swollen until the next morning. Sigh. Only after 8th session I decided to stop and no more facial eversince; including for the big day. Ewww, I know.

Long story cut short, instead SKII, I finally booked my slot at 128 Faubourg Sothys a few days before our anniversary. There was 50% discount for first timers, good deal I guess knowing Sothys is generally expensive be it treatment or products.

I picked the one in BV2 for its convenience to my place. Like most first timers, I was earlier asked to complete some questionnaire before the therapist did the skin analysis and later suggestion on which treatment to go for. No doubt mine was oily and acneic, so Wednes (my therapist) recommend Correcting Facial (1.5hrs) to firstly treat my congested pores.

I was then ushered to Suite 3; a dimmed light facial room with soothing music as background. Changed to their tiny robe and slowly soaking my tired feet into the warm water for some foot massage until Wednes came to dry them off :) A pillow now placed under my knees with soft duvet around. What a nice beginning!

Wednes started with having me sniffed this lavender scent, known for nature’s aid to stress-relief before continued with scalp massage. As any double cleansing, firstly she removed my makeup with cleansing milk and later with foamy cleanser, except here they extend cleansing right down to my neck and upper chest :)

Next was the peeling cream. It’s the type of chemical exfoliant used in this facial to remove dead skin cells and very, very tingling! She then put Desquacream (one of my fave from Sothys line), emulsified and made circular movements for deep pore cleansing. Then I had steam machine placed upon me few minutes to open up my pores, this actually to prepare my skin for extraction later. I was already nervous this time!!!

Now the real pain *gulp* - extraction! Surprisingly, it wasn’t as painful as those years. I mean they still painful but very much bearable, unlike last time where I had to stop my therapist many many times to clear my tears. After the extraction, Wednes showed me my whiteheads that she managed to extract out – all nicely lined up on her palm! Banyak gile!!

Later, Wednes applied me clay mask which very common to oily skin to absorb our excess oil and dirt, apart from tighten back the pores. While waiting for mask to dry, Wednes slipped her hands beneath me and started giving good back, shoulder and neck massage :) Her hands must be really strong then to support my back hehe!

When the mask was removed, Wednes applied some toner and later used purifying serum to allow deeper skin penetration of congested areas. Finally the moisturizer and finished off with dabbing hot towel to my back accompanied with another generous massage!

I was then served with chinese tea & some biscuit, while Wednes made her routine to check my feedback on facial I just had. As expected, she tried to sell their facial package & products. I told her that i just changed to new skincare that the jars still had long mile to go...Luckily she wasn’t pushy, instead she offered me few Sothys samples to try first e.g. moisturizer, cleanser, scrub etc. I loved their Desquacream though. The usage only twice per week, I just couldn’t justify the need of having many cleansers in my skin regime just yet hehe..

Speaking of facial, for the price RM110 after 50% discount was worth it. Not only I walked out with no longer a swollen face, my face too finally had room to breathe! Hehe. Some more the promotion came with extra 30% discount for next visit and RM50 rebate for Sothys product!

Facial at 128Faubourg/Sothys is a bit luxurious to be made as routine. Cheapest they have is RM150 (normal price) for 1 hr deep cleansing facial. So why not save this promotion for special occasion; your big day maybe? :)

CNY @ Penang Makan Trip

It's common sometimes to find local who knows very little about their place. Well, ME INCLUDED! ;) Since we married, husband been bugging me to bring him to Penang and try those heavens (food, beaches etc) but i soo had no clue esp when all you know your last, nice visit was 10 years back! Only recent CNY, the whole family able to gather & spent our great 2 nights together in Penang. All arranged by our parents & theme for this trip was non other than LOTS OF MAKAN! :D

We stayed in Copthorne Orchid, Tg Bungah - the last few left with friendly budget as most hotels were either fully booked or too expensive given CNY is peak season. But I didnt recommend for it has worst bed so far.

All makan places we went were from my abah's best ratings, apparently those are popular among tourist too :) First we stopped by for lunch was Restoran Kapitan. I've been here few times before, no doubt my favourite was their Ayam Tandoori! Very tender and the spices very well blended, except this time i wished the ayam more crunchy ;) The boys must have rice in their menu, so all of them ordered Briyani Claypot - one of signature here in Kapitan!

Went to Padang Kota Lama for dinner. It's food-court kind by seaside & one of my fave place when i was kid. We had almost everything that night - sotong bakar, sotong kangkung, pasembor, laksa penang, char koay teow, cendol etc! Except charkoay teow, the rest were all good. Recommended for those wanted to have all kind of Penang food everything under one roof :) But expect to pay extra for decent plate as the place has all the way been commercialized.

We had late lunch at this one Malay warung the next day. Sorry no pics, everyone like angry piranha when the food came! Warung macam nak roboh je tapi the food here amazingly all sedap & pedas!! Tomyam, ikan 3 rasa, ikan stim, kerabu mangga, sotong tepung etc...cant remember how many trip of nasik tambah we had here LOL. Highly recommended esp when you dah boring asik makan mamak je. Unfortunately they dont have signboard, but the warung just opposite Royal Hotel i think..

Finally that evening, we tried parasailing for the first time! Price RM80/px & RM150/couple for 15mins ride. We could barely see the jellyfish and as we flown up, these creatures made beautiful sight when viewing from far top..impressive! We also tried the jetskii (rm70/ride) - cursed my husband all the way as i almost terpelanting sbb laju gila dia bawak.....sumpah lagi scary dari parasailing ok! He said only jetskii je you can merempit sesuka hati & nobody will ever saman you..yea rightttttt !!!!

Later that night we went to Gurney Drive for dinner. We were entertained by this mamak who prepared pasembor sambil menari...no wonder he can stay in shape LOL!

After checkout the next day, abah brought to local's fave of kedai Kari Kepala Ikan for lunch. The kedai only opens 11am-3pm daily & very tricky to find (bawah flat). Their curry memang terbaek, and according to owner they about to launch their new branch at Damansara Perdana this week :)

We thought the curry was the closing. No, NOT YET! Next food station was Salwa Mee Udang in Teluk Kumbar. To everyone their mee udang worth the waiting, with thick gravy & all served are udang laut. I just wished the gravy is more pedas. We also had ketam rebus, sedap gile cicah air asam - a must TRY here :)

(Belated) Birthday

I haven't updated anything about my birthday and now it's already February, which means I'm almost a month being 27 ;) Nothing extraordinary, just this 2011 marked my first celebrating as a wife.

Husband had nothing planned actually, until the wife came across a promotional stay by the newly opened Villa Samadhi which just a stroll away from KLCC. For this soft launching promo, all rooms were offered at 50% discount and after checking Agoda, they discounted further making our total payment alot lesser than original promotion! :)

Villa Samadhi

Little info on Villa Samadhi; it's actually a new sister hotel to Japamala. They have altogether 21 rooms, however only 8 rooms currently available for stay. Located just opposite U-Thant Residence (or if you know where US Embassy is) made a perfect location for weekend getaway without having us to leave KL. We noted the ongoing construction of remaining rooms, so we put aside all the high expectation we used to have about this new hideaway...

Check-in was smooth, we were brought to our room which just a level above the lobby. The interior was rather basic, with small plunge bed overlooking the pool. We didn't fully enjoyed the view as it also facing this one, huge guest villa opposite down there. Each time we took off the blind, we saw the opposite guests conciously looking back at us, as if we going to skodeng them..hmm not their fauly anyway, the villa design that caused it. Malas nak drama, kitorang tutup je blind dan layan DVD! Feeling dengar pool fountain je la uols :p

Not long after we checked in, the staff came handy with kuih bingkang ubi. They used to serve this too at Japamala by the way, sempatla keep the tummy happy while waiting for dinner ;)

After maghrib, we left for birthday dinner at nearby Rama V, a fine Thai restaurant. They suggested us private room (they have few if you're planning for closed function), but we thought extra RM100 for the privacy is abit steep...so we forego the idea and picked the normal tables. Here we had typical Thai dishes; tomyam, green curry, lime steam fish and softshell crab cooked in lupe dah nama masakan tu :p My favourite obviously the crab, unfortunately the portion was too huge for couple eaters and in fact, by the time the food came our tummy dah full dengan deep fried platter yang agak besarrr la jugak before tu. The price no doubt on high side; but given the good food, service and right ambience, we overall satisfied for what we paid :)

The next morning, we breakfast at their in-house restaurant, Mandi Mandi - the latest addition to Tamarind Springs family. I was expecting something like Japamala; a semi-buffet where guests can have the basics from buffet line and order some from kitchen...sadly here, no. Only omelets/scrambles made to order. Buffet choices? Lots to improve unfortunately.

We then went to check out their rooftop bar, Bumbung. Very cozy, since it was still early the bartender will only be there upon request. All we did up there was enjoying as much the view, i bet the bar must be a lot better at night with all the lightings.

We couldn't extend the checkout as the villa was fully booked that day. Took some pictures before we left, and not forgetting, some words in their guestbook.... :)

Japamala - love at first sight

2011 already almost a week, and in couple of days I’ll be another year older. A year that passed was a fulfilling one, sometimes I couldn’t believe myself I’m (already) approaching late 20s league :) well, forget the ageing thingy and let's start off 2011 entry with our wonderful experience in Tioman Island last month..hehe..

The trip actually a wedding gift from husband’s friend, which his syarat the place must be LOCAL. Among first being shortlisted was Rawa Island; unfortunately clashes with office deadlines & wedding jobs had postponed the trip earliest by December where boat operation being risky to rely to since most local islands will be on monsoon. Our search continued with Tioman which accessible by flight and found this beautiful site of Japamala, a boutique resort housing 12 villas (they called it Sarang) altogether with own private beach. Pictures in TripAdvisor not that interesting and far from any YTL’s luxurious resorts to be compared to, but reviews were telling otherwise made us evenmore tempted to check out the place. And true, we never regret since.

The good about traveling during monsoon, most will offer you huge discount for room. Japamala had this Low Season Package (available in their website) starting RM1.2k+ for couple, including 2N accommodation, airport (boat) transfer, massage etc. For short 3D2N escape, we rather ticked off all outdoors & spend more intimate time for each other...so all we need was nice room! ;) We booked the Seaview Sarang, apparently the one and only there and the most lavish villa they have for couple..kata sponsor kan...

Took Berjaya’s morning flight from Subang Airport. Upon arrival, paid RM5 marine conservation fees and two hotel staffs already standby for our next boat transfer to Japamala. Jay the staff handed us cool towels and lemongrass welcome drink (one of Japamala’s signature) during trip – very refreshing, especially after 55 mins (unpleasant) flight experience. By the way, the speedboat not a tiny we used to imagine, it’s cabined type with twin motors which pretty luxurious by our standard. Mind you, return boat trip will cost RM300+ per couple if you not taking the package.

Finally reached Japamala’s very own jetty, the water beneath so clear that we could see colorful fishes swimming in it. The jetty also serves as one of their dining place, Mandi Mandi Restaurant where you can dine under the sky, or better, stars if you’re lucky! we then brought to reception area; no counter or whatsoever frills found in usual grandeur hotel lobbies…only one low table with laptop and two round-wooden seats for us. Loved the effort-less designs they have here, it brings more rustic feeling to the resort.

Belle the staff walked us to our Sarang. Not that we know we had to climb (long) wooden staircase all the way to our room; thought the room was Seaview..shouldn’t it be closest to ground or pantai as possible? Hehe. Along the way, we were greeted with ‘Good Afternoon’ and warm smiles from each Japalama staff, made us felt so welcomed. The moment Belle opened the door we had to agree the Sarang worth all the climb & wait! It was uber hugeee, about triple size of their smallest villa and very secluded to offer us utmost privacy.

From info we read, very minimal trees being chopped during construction of this resort and to not disturb the natural landscape, you’ll find each and every villa is rather designed to fit their original location. One obvious example seen in our Sarang, the big rock was not moved but instead made a nice, natural hide for our small plunge pool :) Guess the pictures do better talking..

First thing we did was changed & spent hours in our private pool until we turned blue! We later learnt the water was from nearby bukit, no wonder the ‘sejuk’ was different so a sip of hot chocs was nice to warm us out after a long soak. Hubby then went back to reception (since no phone or even mobile coverage in room) to get some DVDs. I was already dozed off by then, and it was almost 7pm when we woke up and me being cliché, rushed to balcony konon to check out the sunset. Haha. It was a little cloudy, so sadly no sunset for us! Regardless, the view still...a breathtaking.. *smile*

Took quick shower, then head to Mandi Mandi Restaurant for our first dinner. Setting of jetty restaurant itself is unbeatable; it was built up on stilts above the sea with meters away from beachfront. For the first time, actual looked a lot better than pictures especially after the places all been lit up...now I know the TA reviewers were speaking truth hehe. BBQ was cancelled unfortunately, so we had everything ordered. They served Italian/ western cuisine and we’ve been told to fork out at least rm100/couple per meal. Not that friendly to pocket, but I guess fair considering its remote location.

The bed already made up when we got back. Iced waters replenished, cleaned the used glasses, room was lit up our room scented candles and not to forget, little surprise left on our bed every night – chocolates! :) This is routine & among special touches you'll find in Japamala. The advantage of handling smaller guests at one time made them aware each and every guest whereabouts so they'll come to tidy up each time we left the room. Clearly, “Please Make Up Room” sign is not needed here.

Had our breakfast the next day at Tamarind Terrace (serving Indo-Chinese & a sister restaurant to Tamarind Spring, so you can expect the taste). With small occupants, they only prepared small buffet with basics like bread, fruits, cereals etc and we’re allowed to order (as many we want) from their menu – another personal touch :) Be it everywhere, Mango Lassi (or any yogurt drink I guess!) is something you shouldn’t miss including here in Japamala. Their homemade chicken porridge was fabulous, had to tapau some food cos hubby overly ordered – good thing, jimat our lunch! Hehe.

Belle came to remind our complimentary Thai massage appoinment. Unfortunately one of their therapist was on leave so we had to forego any couple treatment offered. Massage took at one of the hut upside overlooking the sea, with breezy waves as background. Done by a skillful lady from Bali…the pressure was damn good, unbeliavably backpain I’ve been suffering has now gone!

I went to checkout the resort while hubby doing his massage and took as much pictures of Japamala. Rooms were all nested within the jungle and only accessible through their wooden walkways. Not that friendly to physically unfit or even kids, as some not even with hand railings. The resort constantly fully booked, mainly with honeymooners seeking for total privacy but locals rarely seen here according to Aruni the resident manager. Visited other villas, their next best with budget friendly option is Seacliff rooms, 3 units altogether – request for room 16, it offers best seaview & privacy! :) Met Mike, one of the staff on the way back (with warm smile of course) and interestingly, he asked how was my massage going. Goodness, we just met? The fact I still remember their names tells a lot about the staff (and Japamala itself) i guess..The warmth & bonding very unlikely to be found in other places :)

We didn’t get to celebrate husband’s birthday earlier due to my brother’s wedding held on same date, so our final night at Japamala would be perfect time to make up with just the two of us :) Mike setup simple private dinner for us by the beach, at one of their beach hut. Funny that we start off having nasi and all sort for a supposed-romantic dinner hehehe..what to do their western jetty restaurant was closed due to heavy wind :p

I only arranged them that 3pm and left all the creativity to Mike and amazingly, they manage to pull out a cake for husband’s belated birthday! The taste? Think Haagen Daaz Belgian Choc, better version! And the best of all – it’s FREE. Husband was completely touched (Who doesnt? You got surprise cake on remote island okay) and never expect it as I was busy with weddings of lates. No nice card, only simple birthday note written on Japamala letterhead..lousy, i know!! :p

The final morning, we requested for in-room breakfast with everything ordered prior night. Nothing spectacular, except you dont have to rush & can dine with only bathrobe on hehehe. We then packed our thing with our most heavy heart knowing we’ll leave this paradise soon. We left some note in their guestbook before we checked out, and planning for similar fair review for Tripadvisor soon.

Overall, Japamala was our best stay so far and thank you again to husband’s friend for this wonderful trip. Time never a rush here, fully recommended especially for couples who wants to absolutely do nothing, like Japamala’s selling line DO NOTHING AT ALL, LET THE SURROUNDING DO IT FOR YOU.. All in all, being local, I have to agree with one note written by previous guest staying in similar room – never knew Malaysia had this..... :) :)

we're planning for short trip to this local island coming November. all we need is total relaxation after year round of hardwork...since we have no snorkeling or any beach activity in mind, we better travel during monsoon & enjoy the low season bargain :) my kaki-travel-pantang-AA-ade-promotion cousin had bad experience with their boat service (3 jam muntah hijau) so she advised to opt for flight which i agreed since sea transfer not that reliable during monsoon..

last MATTA fair, the return air package + hotel was tempting..only RM5++ for 3D2N including snorkeling trip, unfortunately they dont offer hotel we wanted & they have confirmed they'll still not offering this particular boutique resort for today's MATTA fair. i think very rugi to go with their associate hotel, cos there's surcharge for school holiday but not for our boutique resort :p we're willing to pay similar amount for nice room rather than that extra surcharge..apart from great review by TA honeymooners, this boutique resort has no mobile network coverage...so no office distraction yahoooooo!! :D

and i hope to check out Bali ground package too, we've booked our tix for nx yr :) my friend recommend lembongan island, sempat ke pegi 4D3N je kot??

Wedding Fair @ Saloma Bistro

fuh..after 5 weeks, this blog finally updated!

while everyone busy hitting Isetan for members sale during friday lunch hour , Mas & myself went to checkout wedding fair @ Saloma Bistro. the event was rather small, each booth can only display one wedding item (card/favor/photography etc) except pelamin cos NGI was the one having the exclusive right for pelamin & deco there.

there were 3 pelamins decorated solely by NGI there, but i didnt snap any..somehow each of the pelamin has nothing to really shout about cos i've seen his work better at previous exhibitions. but we both loved the entrance decoration he did...the white pokok & crystal drapes...imagine an evening event with this deco, marvellous... ;)

first booth we stopped by was Kak Haidar's, the one responsible for my wedding deco last time. the booth theme was Hantaran. we were more of catching up on each other rather than checking out her stuffs cos basically i already had the ideas of wedding items/services she's providing. the dulang hantaran she custom made for me was there too...but i wish to see them decorated in nicer way...with lots and lots of bright, colorful flowers maybe...something more eye-catching i told her ;p

next was Reka Teemor's. their theme was "Wedding Invitation". mostly the hardcovered were from Indonesia..with RT's known as having spectacular taste, so the range of hardcover they had from Indon are the pretty exclusive ones. the softcover cards too unlike the conventionally found in market, mostly having the plain, modern design specially custom made for their clients...with starting price of rm2.50..their softcovers not so much of my liking, apart from their price, personally due to the designs were overly being modernized/westernized..

but, i like one of their display...it's actually from Indonesia. nice tiffany blue! my soon getting married brother need some proposal for his wedding card this october...we'll see how much my previous cardmaker can offer for this design...hopefully below than my RM1.3x since this is just 1-pc card :)

Neurmaya was the one offering photography/videography service for this expo. first time seeing his work was in Ratu Sehari, and seem to notice more of him tagging to NGI's clients. the package is rather flexible...no outstation cost, no charges for future publish in media/mags, softcopies for both raw and edited will be returned without any extra cost etc..

Gezal Mihat & Freda took part for dresses. we didnt ask any quo cos no one was there...some of the lovelies found :

next to them is Cocoa Boutique, offering wedding favors made from chocs. i didnt try any of their chocs, so obviously no comment ;) i kinda like chocs they printed with our wedding details & nicely arranged in a wooden box found similar at Godiva...price RM150 and this packaging they purposely made for hantaran. sorry no pix, camera out of battery dah!

last one was Yomie Bake, based in Kajang. for 3-tiers full fondant cake starts rm900, if dummy usually half the price. so, note that not all bakers charging similar price for full cake & dummy, anything back to your budget and preference, the option is there :) their fancy cookies rm3+, the cookies tebal gile so i guess the price justifies..of all, their minis interest me more, be it for design and price..rm15/each. again, no pic but most of the designs were similarly published in their blog :)

the rest booths were Concorde weddings, accessories..we already late, so no chance to drop by..just sempat snap this at Concorde booth to feast your eyes :)

btw, my reception album dah siap since April but we yet to collect from CS. and i've received my bertandang album too...3 months waiting not that bad!:)

Firstly congrats to Diah, Anil, Amy & the rest committees for the success of this event! AJK kecil-kecilan dan last minute macam saya hanya mampu tolong sikit2 je ;) Diah cakap I was among earliest registering as vendor haha..yup, I was super excited at the time – not so much to promoting 2nd hand wedding items, but more of meeting up bakal pengantins & ex-pengantins that I’ve been reading through!

The night before hubby sama2 stay up siapkan our wedding scrapbook. We had the raw pictures printed on papers, then glued them in scrapbook. The intention was, at least wedding pictures are ready in case guests nak tengok prelim result of our photographers since our album belum dapat lagi ;)

We arrived The Zon quite late, so had to rush preparing the booth. Had to drag my hubby cos my bestie Mas had to leave for family farewell that noon. Mas sempat helped me out with the deco, thank you babe ;) My booth betul2 dpn pintu masuk, decorated in brighttt pink theme :P Jiran2 tetangga my booth were married bloggers Ida, Jamilah & Lynda.

I couldn’t exactly remember what time guests start datang, tetiba je dah ramai..i was left alone until my colleague jarjar came & help to entertain the guests, thanks jarjar! and suhana too ;D Honestly, I was glad to meet the bloggers/readers that dayyy – macam2 cerita keluar, the one I remembered most where this blogger confessed she went checking out my hall betul2 time kitorg tgh buat preparation & deco..if tau awal2 sure I dah jemput dtg kenduri mlm tu since byk lg seat kosong hehe…And tak lupa, this reader told me one of my designer wondering feedback of my wedding baju – dia kata muka I mcm takde perasaan time pickup baju :P This one guest commented i never had my email published at blog, no im not sombong..dulu i wasnt comfortable to give recommendation cos my majlis not over yet..now with the experience, anything boleh email whitelacetale[at]gmail.com insyaAllah the sharing will be more fruitful this time esp on wedding vendors & tips :)

My booth had nothing much to offer for sale, except my friend’s wedding dresses. Mostly showcase of doorgifts, dresses, hantaran etc from my weddings in case some asking for workmanship of these vendors & ni jelah cara I can be thankful to my vendors by promoting only those who did great job last time :)

Speaking of result my wedding vendors, most popular q thrown out that day was regarding lova as the last entry freaked some out ;(…I’ve expected it anyway & I felt so bad eversince the post. I had to gently remind those who asked, tak semua bad experience & tak semua bad skin mcm I :) Even sue cantik my fave tu pun I penah tgk result my fren yang tak menjadi – but I still trust her to makeover me cos I like her consistency in giving doll-flawless result (beside Tiar), color lipstick off ke apa tu lain cerita hehe. Surprisingly too,my pengapit prefers me in lova rather than sue for her lighter, natural makeup & she even considering lova for her coming big day, see? ;) tu pandangan org yang 24jam dgn I time kenduri tuu hehe ;) So, don’t worry too much psl lova…!

after a month finally :P

days before nikah

banyak last minute work to do. becos my MUA screwed up earlier, i had to last minute cari replacement & sadly yg ok in penang all fully booked that date :( no choice but to fly Lova to my place. few times jumpa pakcik catering to reconfirm package cos my cute parents tak faham sgt the items; underlayers, scallops, dome etc hehe - no choice. caterer last minute cant provide platform for my pelamin which took me dayss to get one later sbb time CNY ramai gile kawin :( only by jumaat baru dpt vendor & they pasang on saturday. we had some doa selamat on friday night & did the berinai prepared by my makciks. time berinai, one of his adik called me up - telling my hubby is a good brother to them, they love him so much & asked me to take a good care of their brother. honestly, i feel like crying...but everyone was keliling me so had to tahan my tears. only on saturday this bride managed to escape for 4hrs spa..yang lain duduk di rumah masukkan all telur favors dalam paper bag hehehe...

traffic during that long weekend made everything worst. my decorator, kak aida stucked dkt highway 7hrs. they only sampai by maghrib & baru nak start everything. not to mention some fresh flowers layu too sbb exposed too long dlm kereta :( nasib majorly my deco guna artificials..only my hantaran badly affected. that night, we had dinner prepared for his family & supposed the session is to berkenalan with his big families prior to majlis nikah. siap blackout lagi (teringat anil!) & the place pun messy sikit cos at same time kak aida & her team tgh prepare the deco...

btw, few days before got call from diah - so i let all my wed problems heard. thanks diah, it was truly comforting! :) on that very last night, the bride slept at 3 am! konon plan nak touch up my inai yang comot tu, argh dah penat..who cares if inai comot kan...

nikah day 14feb

alhamdulillah all vendors came early that morning, thanks to all of you! 8+am start makeup. wearing tudung with rambut tinggi was a bad decision afterall - dlm gambar very obvious the style didnt suit me. less than hr dh siap makeup. mostly commented my makeup not doing better for my complexion, still nampak all my jerawat & my face turned out gelap than my hand. but if u dont hv skin problem like me, lova is undoubtedly recommended - i suka lova shape my brow actually ;) and she in person very nice too :D

attire by syahrir nurdin, white chiffon kurung. to ensure the dress cost is kept to 3-digits, i asked syahrir to do lace patching & stone tu tampal2 je instead of expensive heavy beadwork. it turned out my personal fave for workmanship, compared to the rest my wed dresses. this weekend im bringing my veil to gath for renting, sebab tak boleh pakai dah kan :)

nikah event - everything went so quick...abah yang nikahkan us. honestly, i tak sempat nak feeling sebak right after akad cos i was waiting ustaz there to confirm my acceptance as a wife. apparently, in penang no such thing! ustaz didnt ask any to the bride...in fact i had nothing to sign on our nikah reg borang pun...weird.

btw i would suggest u check how's the maskahwin practice in your place. cos earlier we plan for 2 bankers checque for maskahwin & hantaran since they're equal amount & not so safe to travel all the way with cash. ustaz in my place insisted for cash no matter how big the amount - otherwise u have to lafaz "hutang...." in your akad and no-negotiable. takut ada yang sentap bila playback video nikah nanti kan hehehe...lucky we found this out earlier..

my aunty was coordinator bidan terjun that day...i brief her night before, of all things, just tlg ensure kan at least these 3 stuffs for my nikah :

- space utk bride nak lalu
- sejadah utk groom solat
- family kena berkumpul for photo session! - sebab time kenduri semua sibuk

alhamdulillah, she managed. right after sarung cincin, the cousins start distributing nikah gift (tasbih) to guests before they went for refreshment. me & hubby then continue with photo session until 12pm before sanding preparation..

basically below our flow & timing :

8am - makeup
9.30am - arrival groom & rombongan, susun hantaran
9.45am - arrival ustaz (pendaftar nikah)
10am - akad, groom solat, sarung cincin, family photo, gifts & refreshment
until 12pm - pengantin photo

Since post mortem of weddings may take ages to write, let’s give way to our honeymoon entry dulu ;) Among the shortlisted were Boracay Island & Koh Samui, but connecting flights was my biggest turn off for Boracay while Koh Samui...tiket firefly like mahal gile :( so off we to Krabi!

We managed to catch AA promo return tix for rm116 & booked ground package during last MATTA fair. Since we went during high season the price quoted for us was RM1350 nett, including :

-4N accom with breakfast
-Return airport transfer
-Thai massage
-Phi Phi Island @ 4 Islands trip

If you’re travelling during low season, you can get all above just rm700++ for 2...cheap kan? We only pay rm50 as deposit at MATTA fair, the rest was upon checkout...so if u cancel the trip, u only loose small amount of money...but the bad is, u have to pay in baht later..def u'll lose some for exchange rate!

the place was Pavilion Queensbay...TA review was helpful, at least we knew things we could compromise with the budget we had :) knowing we're coming for honeymoon, Rabeeya the sales manager had earlier upgraded our room to Suite...and with seaview :)

hotel was abit secluded, but no worry as they have free shuttle to Ao Nang. except, coming from Ao Nang is sendirian berhad hehe..u can still walk, but berpeluh jugakla..better naik tuktuk, they're almost everywhere for only rm2/pax per ride. but we prefer amik scoot je, rental only rm18/day & we can merempit whenever we want heheh :P all they need is driving license & passport je! and fuel u have to isi balik...

our daily activity during honeymoon was massage, sebab they so cheapppp in thailand :) oil massage around rm30/hr and they were like everywhere in krabi...but mostly those in busy Ao Nang are less privacy cos u have to share the room with other tourists & some not that "clean".

the first day we had our free Thai massage in our hotel, Montra Spa. nice one…but personally I don’t fancy any Thai massage sebab tak guna any oil, kesat when rubbing =(

The 2nd day, we were recommended by locals for Boosabakorn Spa..famous spa among tourists. my goodness...i almost keluar balik from spa sbb terkejut seeing the price, mengalahkan KL :( but hubby pujuk bila lagi to try...so we took their honeymoon spa package with jacuzzi. yeap the ambience & service was super nice...but the massage dekat bahu sakit sikit.

the 3rd night we had oil massage at Feel Good Massage nearby our hotel...the best i had in krabi, sampai tertido... price pun cheap & most importantly, we had room. sorry no pics taken but recommended for those seeking for privacy :)

the 4th night, we booked for Aloe Vera treatment & massage (rm40/hr) at Ao Nang Princeville, recommended by masseuse for after sunburn. very cooling....we liked it, esp after 2 days berjemuran di pantai..but i was dissapointed with the room, too "ordinary" for a spa in exclusive boutique resort & i think ppl outside can see us changing baju sbb their transparent tingkap :(

FOOD

I know this every Muslim’s most worried kan. myself too didnt manage getting a “confirmed” HALAL restaurant…but at least we found few restaurants that didnt serve pork at all (but ada beer etc)..to be safe, we just stick to seafood based.

For breakfast, we had our daily in hotel. Choice quite good for us the muslim who cant enjoy their meaty-dishes..at least they have range of waffles, pancakes, shrimp dimsum, sushi, cereals, bread & salads to choose from...siap their thousand island tu campur cili...very the Thai!! hehe

but our fave is their porridge, harus dimakan bersama chilli flakes ya

LaCasa was one of muslim-owned restaurant & they didnt serve pork at all. according to their malay-speaking staff, they can jamin ayam & daging are all sembelih...except the processed food like burger, nugget etc...they dont advise us to order cos they not sure the source. we tried their seafood paadthai...so-so but their 2 specialty pizza mmg sedap! but the food alot pricey here.

the next day we tried Wang Sai Seafood, recommended by Rabeeya and again no pork served. u can pick your fish, lobster etc & get them freshly cook for u...and the service pun sangat cepat :) i'll list u the dishes we ordered & the price....

- BBQ lobster in garlic & butter (rm26/100gm)
- Fried soft crab in curry powder rm15…serving size for 3 pax..
- Tomyam seafood rm18..serving size 3 pax
- Steam fish in lemon sauce…rm24..seriously terbaikkkk!
- 4 Oysters with vege..rm12
- Plain rice rm2/plate

we didnt get the chance to try Ao Nang Seafood...we reached 10pm & they already packing up to close :( sedih sikit sbb it was one of recommended try-outs by seaside & i saw most shops there not serving any pork in their menu book too..

next to Ao Nang Seafood was Ban Lay Aeshah Halal Restaurant-the only halal place we found and at the very last day...tak sempat singgah pun

Thai pancake…nice one..we tried aurinh’s recommendation for banana & choc…sedappp!

ISLAND TRIP

We didn’t go to Phi Phi, since we’ve been there in 2008. The locals recommend us Similan Island..from the brochure, looks perfect for divers…not yet for us kot =)

we picked James Bond Island trip...the name tells it all, one of JB film had their shooting here. 1.5hr van ride from krabi to boat pier in Phang Nga.

the first stop was Panyee Village for lunch..rugi we order for vegetarian meal cos we baru tahu that's muslim village so the food served all halal =(

main reason i picked this trip is KAYAK cos i nak paddling through their nice caves..sekali je the staffs yg do the paddling tsk tsk...but the view was nice :) siap ada org jual air kelapa mcm floating market tu hehe!

james bond island

after the island trip, they brought us to Island Safari in Phang Nga...elephant trekking was one of activity. no camera allowed, they'll snap for us & to buy is optional..we paid rm30 for 4pix & below is one of them...

our gajah..if u said "TU!!" then cepat je the belalai naik to your tangan requesting for banana hehe..the problem is, all gajahs there understand "TU" for food..so bile u sebut...the nearby gajahs pun angkat their belalai to u....scary pulak :P

the next day we pick 4 Islands trip included in our hotel package... the trip with speedboat going to 4 places :

- Phra Nang Bay...nice cave view, i just knew the place was the other side of Railay Beach…so we cancelled our trip to Railay that evening..hubby accidentally dropped our hps here..so gone all numbers!
- Chicken island...hubby accidentally stepped on sea urchins. the locals cakap let the duri reput sendiri cos tak beracun pun.
- Tup Island...we did the snorkelling here but it was jellyfish season so the view not so great...small jellyfish bersepah2 but they not harm
- Poda Island..place u can see matsaleh granny topless...

personally, i think krabi would have been better if the staffs esp those working at tourist spots can understand & speak English...but overall, we loved the trip & Thai hospitality..we surely comeback if there's any rezeki :)

i'm sorry the comeback entry had nothing to do with wedding. yours truly & hubby just involved in accident...alhamdulillah we didnt suffer any major injury except some neck pain & kepala benjol sikit terhantuk tingkap after our car spinned twice before we hit the divider on the way to klia last thursday. i'm still on 7-days mc before next ortho checkup this friday...for time being, doctor suruh pakai soft collar as mild support to my neck which i so failed to obey sebab rasa mcm robocop :(

ibu called to inform my makcik now planning to do me a mini berinai...i know ibu wasn't so keen, she's just respecting request from the elders. i love the one with light ukiran cos they look very pretty in pictures, but abah had earlier warned me only simple inai is allowed..so had to toss all my dream to have nice henna drawn to my hands.

my idea of mini berinai is only wearing the inai, kan? or is there anything else i should expect during berinai? hopefully the aunties wont request the tukar2 baju cos i'm not really into it..

i request the berinai to be on friday, 2 days before my nikah. becos i know a day before event sure pengantin busy dgn mcm2 last minute tasks & i better reserve that day for quick touch up of my inai je :)

my makciks will prepare inai tumbuk but i doubt the color is dark enough...i'll backup with inai picit, hmm wondering how many bungkus to buy? selain salotape & minyak cap kapak, anything else i should prepare?

yana & myself rushed to jb after our pre-wedding in genting (thx to mashelmy & faizal of CS), giving our last minute help & comfort to bff Lion's wedding. we reached jb by 2am & spent roughly 4hrs chitchatting with lion + sempat buat corsages before we left back to kl at 6.30am..i couldnt stay for her kenduri becos fiance's families buat wedding meeting during lunch and i had to be there for briefing. selamat pengantin baru Lion, cant wait for mini gathering of "thiangpulaukians" at your bertandang next week ;)

mas "the 27 dresses" (sebab dia selalu dipaksa jadi pengapit) accompanied me the next day to petaling street, cari lantern as advised by my decorator...found them, but colorful stock sgt limited - they're giving ways for CNY..so mostly on parade are classic red lanterns. we love the bright combo of blue-green, since stock tak banyak...we had to mix with pink, purple semua ada :P caca marba sudah canopy ku hehe...(planning to sell them off after event, if masih elok)

kemudian kami marathon pickup remaining doorgifts from my vendors. ibu last minute requested for paperbag....thanks to faizah ilikecard, we finally found place allowing paperbags printing in small quantity :)

she also did paperbox gift for my rombongan pengantin...the ribbons nicely tied...her work & finishing very neat, hence very recommended :)

we're done with bunga pahar :) the bunga is off rack, bought from Semua House. i only request them to change the ribbon to my theme. last sunday should be the pickup, but the ribbon color turned out sooo sooo wrong. earlier, they arrogantly refused my request to do one sample before they proceed with my whole order. i had to agree, but i paste the ribbon sample at both his & my receipt. so when thing went wrong, the bridezilla in me didnt take long to ask them to re-do all the ribbons in 3 days...and alhamdulillah they managed :)

a little info..the bunga pahar cost less than rm2.50. we cant lavish for this bunga since ibu wants for 200pcs. ibu asik gelakkan my bunga pahar..she said,gileeee kuncup! hehehe...dah budget pun kuncup kan :P

semalam bertungkus lumus with my sis adding up the tag. tag all by myself, terpaksa stayback kat ofis sebab nak pinjam cutter ofis yang menjimatkan masa dan tenaga itu LOL. for tempat cucuk pahar, we'll rent from this aunty in PJ since she got them in white..final week baru boleh pickup :)

one of my early post was the day we went for first photographer hunting in mid-2008. it was our 1st visit to photographer, which turned out to be the one we picked for our big day ;)

...and the first q that popped from sapex (now ex-cs) was, "bile majlis korang ni?" with 2 years down the road, answering this was never easy :) becos the date was proposed long before the parents met or even before we got engaged! all we know, we want to get married on our anniversary - Feb 14th.

i tell you, the whole idea of our wedding date started off a very simple way during our 6th anniversary dinner in 2008, finally : i'm tired of having to wait the next day to celebrate our anniversary each year becos the large rose bouquet, fancy dinner or lovey-dovey packaging of choc bars are hell expensive on v-day & being kedekut girlfriend that time - seems the spending not so worth it for just AN occasion :) now u get the idea why i lumped all our special occasions on this very special date...as starting next year onwards - every Feb 14th, the large bouquet to us is meant for anniversary celebration of our relationship, bertunang & married hehe :D

with the date fixed to 14th & 20th Feb, yours truly now proudly to say..."SAVE THE DATE EVERYONE!". Counting to one month....and another great things about these dates are 14th is bday of my dearest ibu & 20th is my abah's =) hopefully their bakal menantu will be one of their special 'gift' in life, insyaAllah.....

i've saved this pic since ages, the point where fiance & myself finally decided not to have any guestbook. the butterfly below is actually a placecard, found usually in mat saleh's weddings. we're opting similar idea, but change to guest note instead :) the idea still tentative, subject to syawal's cos the idea is only nice when it's placed on goblet, not a highball glass (one of our hardest-to-get during negotiation) and point to note, this idea is only practical for formal seating event, sebab glasses dah siap kat meja..

in case u wondering & questioning how distracting to drink with butterfly...they're actually detachable! they're not glued to glasses, i've seen sample pic where they make small cut at butterfly body and sangkut je dekat gelas tu :) so the guests can write on their wishes while boring-ly waiting for pengantin to come. just make sure to prepare basic stuff like pen & box at each table...and not to forget, arrange someone to collect the notes when majlis end before the caterer trash them ;)

again, it's tentative & we too didnt hope much...

btw, yours truly is 26 today :) to fellow capricorn babies, happy birthday & may 2010 bring us more rezeki & happiness insyaAllah.

semalam after fira's wedding, i saja check out my hall again since our dewan just above fira's hall (dewan seri melati). the staffs were preparing for night reception...hopefully they didnt mind i took some pics & shared it here for benefit of those previously asking me on this hall..esp uyaa hehe...we were shortlisting MBSA banquet hall & perbadanan pjaya hall previously, but finally settled with pjaya due to its close proximity to in-laws house :)

some info to share, the name is Dewan Seri Siantan. with capacity of 1000 pax seating, this how the interior look like :

since we'll be having only 500 guests..we took Dewan Siantan 1...a partitioned version of Dewan Seri Siantan...very small kan

reception & gift table area...if you're taking the big Siantan, the middle pintu will be your grand entrance

the lounge area opposite the reception area...with comfy sofa. boleh camwhoring di sini before the majlis start hee :)

the other side lounge...last time i went, ppl suka smoking here..so remember to close unnecessary doors during the function...washroom at the end side of this lane

my personal opinion on perbadanan putrajaya hall, for banquet setting of 500pax is ok...just abit crowded. so save your bux not to all out for deco cos they'll make the small hall look rather messy..i myself abit pening since his aunty insist to sponsor entertainment while the hall no longer have space to accomodate..and i personally dont think we should cut the guest # just for this :( aunty boleh tak sponsor benda lain? :)

for buffet setting, i prefer seri melati hall...becos they're located downstairs, easier to access becos buffet guests ramai and they'll be in-out within short period..for 1k pax seating u may consider the bigger Siantan..but somehow for same rate i think Seri Endon is nicer..except you have to pay more if u nak bring outside caterer/decorator hehe...

and for info, mostly gov halls only allow 2010 booking & deposit payment by sept onwards..if earlier, they mostly kasi u letak nama je (which, if ada kroni they can easily cut your queue since no deposit to secure us)...so once u put your name...call them every month, just to check when can they accept the deposit sampai they jemu hehe..becos chances of they calling us is pretty much less...the frequent call up nampak pathetic kan..but we better be safe than sorry..happy hall hunting to newbies =)

the Yaasin finally delivered to my office tengahari tadi, the stamping for cover ada silap sikit but they'll reprint new copies in next few days. i'm satisfied with the content; the wording very neat, every single line of ayat Yaasin came with tafsir...and they also include some daily doa :) thank you so much to vendor.

my auntie called, informing the quran hantaran now dah safely with her. thanks to her for sponsoring :) the dulang slot actually dah full...and i've got no plan to add up anymore dulang. so let's just share the slot with kain sembahyang & get Nasz to work the magic hee!

bunga pahar/perenjis

The in-laws finally scrap the idea of having telur pindang to all guests, after many feedbacks from relatives that it’s not a hit as in johor & most probably it would be a waste since not many guests can accept the exotic taste of telur pindang. My fiancé being an obsessed johorian down sikit.....but his fiancee always know how to bring his smile back...”awak, we still got slot for merenjis gift...boleh la kasi telur pindang..” ;) Since they’ll be less than 20pcs, fiancé said if ada yg buang pun he not ralat…I’m glad fiancé got the buy in for his fave tradition gift finally, even not for all.

As for the telur deco, we decided to maintain the traditional form of bunga pahar/perenjis. I ain’t a collector of bunga pahar & never was a fan, but I love the fact it’s a tradition found in our Malay wedding & these differences that actually made up the beauty of one culture from another…hopefully im not bias, tho capricornians are naturally a traditionalist, I only realized my interest for tradition stuffs developed (rapidly) after so much attached with wedding preparations.

So we ordered few pieces of bunga perenjis for majlis bertandang. Since mostly the perenjis is couple, we as much wanted to avoid giving the same gift to husband & wife. Result from our discussion with decorator last weekend, we will maintain the tradition of bunga pahar giving to perenjis…except, we’ll make different bunga for ladies & gentlemen. I’m pleased with one of the samples; came in sweet combo of silver & pink ... :)

- went to uncle Tony for his suit in pj. fiance salah dgr the quotation & the price turned out beyond the budget...we're doing some reconsideration, but i know fiance really want uncle tony to tailor his suit..hmm
- teman fiance for first fitting in shah alam, nothing major for alteration..except fiance looked really kurus. he really bengang i asyik ejek he got nice pinggang, like girls! :P
- singgah choffles damansara, ordering sugarbox
- met up decorator in batu caves. requoted some items & lepak until 2 freaking a.m.
- pagi supposed appoinment with 2 cake makers in pj, cancel last minit..
- the whole sunday spent in jln TAR. sadly, none of the kedai i went ada the stuff to diy my bunga pahar hantaran :( last resort : order online
- jumpa hantaran decorator in setapak after visit wesz yg baru dpt baby (congrats!). by the time, i dah sgt letih & sort of unprepared. concept almost finalized & the tray pun mcm sesuai je :)
- both days started with gym session in the morning & had to rush sbb byk wedding tasks to do..

the dream bertandang hairstyle =) i wonder why susah gile to get this pic, i think the style is very common but mostly googled from internet the bun very tinggi or the fringe turning too fancy...finally i jumpa this in indon bridal mag, very decent...so i didnt wait to snap hehe...

Well, after months of planning…now comes the drama part ;)

We finally met the caterer, and the meet up wasn’t a good one. Speaking of his portfolio, I have to admit this caterer has good reputation in my hometown; they’ve been favorite caterer to most official events in ibu’s office. Abah’s friend also hired same caterer for the son’s wedding recently & to my parents who attended the kenduri, the caterer met their expectation both for food & on-site services. The price pun very cheap…for less than rm7/head you can afford the kenduri food, complete with Arabian canopies and chair cover with ribbons..

But, it was the other way round for me…I don’t intend to elaborate how arrogant the owner was, and how he made joke on my preference of canopy setup. Let him be, it wasn’t my first time jumpa this complacent type of vendor…the only thing I did was rang up my decorator & insyaAllah, she’ll try her best to source for stuffs that my caterer had refused to…and if only she couldn’t deliver to my expectation, I shall at least be thankful for her patience listening to every word of mine all this while, esp the downside of my wedding prep…

On a lighter note, my permohonan berkahwin telah diluluskan…alhamdulillah. ustaz did the interview through phone like few minutes before I wrote this hehe..i only had to istighfar, recite Al-Faatihah & answer some steps if the rumahtangga having problem… since our wedding will fall on public holiday, we had the tok kadi booked for 10am slot…apparently it’s the same ustaz, and seeing from his sempoi-ness in settling my borang, I have this great feeling that my future hubby wont kena banyak soalan during nikah nanti hehe… =)

200pcs bunga pahar on the way.....

ibu & myself were in Jln TAR this morning, hunting for budget-friendly bunga pahar from the shop i surveyed earlier. ready stocks tak cukup, so we ordered the remaining. we settled off with 2 types of bunga pahar, to satisfy citarasa berbeza ibu & anak. down sikit, ibu rejected my idea to change the ribbon to tiffany polkadots. to her, polkadots design too childish :( fine.

the stuffs insyaAllah will ready by mid jan. loose pack for DIY bunga pahar as hantaran not found tadi. the SAs cakap they never sell the stuff, hey takkanlah...i know kat nilai 3 ada, but i dont want to travel all the way just to get only 25pcs of it? hmm..i should check out klim craft/sayang you next visit...

btw, we saw cinderella carriage on sale tadi. ibu as usual, excited. i had to remind her many times tadi we dont need one :( they aint cheap & plus, i was never a fan of dulang yg cover brg hantaran e.g. birdcage, pumpkin carriage... kan dh hire decorator, let her work the hantaran out...

finally...we bought tafsir quran for hantaran too. the wording very neat. and the best part, they came in matching tiffany box & tasbih too :)

found link of this vendor while bloghopping to kak shaja's. if you still remember this post... secretly im still hoping for angel vendor who can accept small order for this nice Yaasin. they may not stand as nice to what i found in jakarta, but the cover seems so neat...and one thing that made me think it's a perfect maintable gift is, oftenly, those who eat with pengantins are veterans..and most of time, religious stuff is one that close to their heart, kan :)

we're done, 26th Nov 09. fiance sgt proactive, calling everywhere since last 2 weeks to find out convenient place to do hiv test while his tunang goyang kaki layan blog hehe..

we did ours at klinik kesihatan shah alam seksyen 7. no hassle at all & no horror stories to share..less than an hour, semua siap. tak ramai ppl, maybe sebab org dh balik cuti raya haji hehe..no appoinment required, weekdays 2-4pm only.

our hantaran stuffs almost ready, last monday dah pick up tiny bag from this aunty. i bought 2 stuffs from different online sellers, and they are truly recommended in term of service..pantas :) and alot cheaper than this famous local site. courier from US pun tak sampai seminggu dah dpt hehe..only one hantaran item left, which awal2 lagi we decided to delay...it's a gadget, lagi lambat beli, harga lagi turun..and since our survey in may...the harga had turun rm300...so let's tunggu lagi until end of Year End Sale ;)

for meja vip (it's meja rombongan pengantin actually hehe), after pening2 thinking what should be the doorgift, we finally inspired from below gift by kak fathinz...choc bar with personalized wrapper :) see, i always fell back at stuffs that i saved ages ago in my lappy...selalu je love at first sight win tsk tsk..for families (esp with kiddies), we think edible favors are still everyone's all time fave..esp choc kan hehe. so we browsed around and finally found vendor who allow small order weee...so here we go, 40pcs ordered :) i've sent our monogram for cover, but she requested the format to be in illustrator or photoshop..have to check back with fira, praying hard she still keep them....*gulp*

i've posted this pic more than a year ago...it was love at first sight i admit. during the time, only Bliss Treasure offered this for local market...and sadly, they required min 100pcs (now min 50pcs je), which i thought too much for my budget. furthermore, i prefer edible doorgift for my guests...only special people i would consider giving out candles, and definitely the persons should be my besties...

and today while hunting for my bridesmaids' gift, i dropped by this wedding gift blog...and she has this...i emailed her & it was great to know she accepts small order - except, i had to pay a little extra. i was extremely happy, and quickly placed my order for 10 pcs :) im planning to keep one, with my name on it hehe..

and today too, i ordered 40pcs edible gift for meja rombongan from next vendor :) im still waiting quotation for nikah & maintable favor from another vendor...hopefully we could settle the ordering by this week...

recent trip & tiara

our wedding card & favors dah safely ordered last weekend. the card vendor also do favor box - so we ordered both items ni terus from him in pasar tebet. the place was real stuffy, so abah malas to wait for my usual long-discussion with vendor so i had to end up doing the proofreading & all using email or phone je later - which i hated most becos the risk of miscommunication is high :( i hope to settle the proofreading asap so our vendor could deliver the stuffs by xmas week.

kain for sisters & bridesmaids finally complete. abah give up sebab susah sangat getting the right tiffany for the ladies hehe, mayestik dah nak tutup baru we found the hidden gem...at cheap price :) we jalan2 at plaza indonesia that night, sempat grab one item for hantaran which was sold cheaper than kl..

final day baru singgah mangga dua. prev trip tak sempat hunting wedding accesories sbb both geminian besties asik teruja dgn jam ciplak yg sgt chic kat sane tsk tsk! choice for accessories in M2 mmg banyak, but finding the dream tiara not as easy as i thot...i was looking for decent tiara which fits these criterias : rendah, detailing penuh & tengahnya peak sikit...ala2 below...mostly they have either too small or too big ala2 beauty pageant tuuu...only one shop i found close to my spec..beli jela, price pun murah hehe...

during lunch hr, faeizah & myself buat amazing race to pameran pengantin in pwtc. surprisingly, ctcatering not participating..selalu they're like muka wajib in any wedding fair hehe..

im still in midst of hunting our wedding cake, we dropped by all cake booths kat situ & mostly the quotation starts rm600 for 3-tiers cake. Isabella's promo quite interesting, rm440 for 3-tiers (6kgs) but when we requested for sample of that 3-tiers...my, they're too small for my size...so pulang dgn sedikit kecewa. anyhow, both of us love this mini by Isabella....sama2 sibuk snap pic ;P

btw, my parents arriving in next hour. hopefully, we could scrap few pending stuffs from my checklist this weekend :)

today, fiance joining myself at nearby Old Town to sort out wording & detail for our wedding card (since we'll be sharing one!). we had to finalize asap as the order will be made this weekend, together with our doorgifts.

we fixed out the doorgifts, and their packaging. we had to line up some backups in case the vendors reject sebab tak lepas minimum quantity hehe..tomorrow i'll meet up fira, she has agreed to help me out with photoshop-ing the monogram....

since fiance wont be around during the card ordering, we discussed the design & layout for the card too - of course, there were moments we agreed to each other & fight over little little things :) one of stuff we bertekak was the agenda for majlis bertandang. ideally, we want the majlis to start 8.30pm, but based from experience, it's most likely to slip..and usually 8.45pm baru start kan..so we argued what's the best timing to put in our card for "ketibaan pengantin" to alert the guest what's the latest time they should already be in hall hehe...so friends, i need your opinion...

i love reading mat saleh's wedding mags, but hardly buy them becos they're so expensive & not much we can apply to our local wedding. the most i would buy is their old collection becos they're sold cheap (usually half price) and these are 'latest' i managed to grab during my outstation to Miri last few days...they're May-June 2009 edition, price each mcm mag Pengantin je hehe..i prefer the white mag - found inspiration for my plain cake & doily paper...i didnt realize berapa kali i khatam the white mag from hotel sampai dalam flight hehehe :P

if you're into mat saleh's wedding mag too & not willing to spend much like me, you can go to these 2 shops..one in cineleisure tingkat bawah (nearby escalator) and satu lagi in taipan commercial area tu..sorry, tak ingat the shop name ;P there are few more out there, but so far these 2 are my fave sbb banyak wedding mags and sambil2 can tengok wayang or layan takoyaki yg sedap di taipan ;D

so next time when u're craving for martha stewart's wedding mag, tunggu je lagi 3 mths for new release...nanti the old one serta merta je half-price & left about belas2 ringgit je..(lagi murah dari Ratu Sehari hehe..)

last 2 weeks, we met the designer & shared him this inspiration for my baju nikah. im not blessed with any creativity to design & sketch my dream dress, so i just pick few pix of favourite dresses and do the mix & match of my preference.

for nikah, my all time fave is white kurung moden...with some lace patching & sulam. while design wise, i love any kurung moden with bukaan kebaya in the middle...similar to diana-zamarul's reception dress featured in recent Pengantin mag :)

i told them to lining the lengan as well, but make it abit jarang from the rest portion of the dress...like what aleya had...(copycat lagi hehe...)

btw, i didnt tailor my veil from same designer sbb too expensive :( ...i hope to find other tailor to jahit my veil soon. but i need the designer to potong the lace portion for dress first, so i could take the remaining for veil patching...honestly, malu gile nak request him to do that but i dont have any choice...

yesterday we met up with Syawal and somehow after the discussion, i can foresee the potential problem i might have with this caterer later. im a little dissapointed at first, but thinking back, even the famous caterer pun ada problem, so i'd better be calm and think of some backup plan je :) it would be so unfair to give unpleasant review before engaging their service & seeing the real result. furthermore, the problem is not on food side...more to decorative stuffs hehe :)

prior to our meet up, i read back some comments & concern some readers raised on this caterer. and i could conclude mainly are below & addressed to syawal :

- food so-so. some said great, but none said tak sedap at all :)
- slow food replenishment. this may not really applicable cos we're having makan serentak..our risk may be nasi/dessert/coffee lambat serve
- waiters slow & tak alert. part ni my biggest worry but dah solve abit. syawal will provide 1 waiter for every 2 tables (1:2)
- barang yang dijanjikan tak disediakan. *gulp* the least he could offer now is checklist a day before event & he need my rep to be on site during prep for checking.. can la :)

syawal also shared some tips :

- appoint one rep to deal with caterer during the event. caterer always had problem when so many family members campur tangan to direct them doing mcm2
- get sufficient ushers if u have assigned seating, but it's always better not to have it at all (esp guest 500 above) sbb nanti jam dpn entrance. if u still want to do it, loose abit by just putting sign at few tables and let them freely pick which they belong to e.g. "bride's friends", "telekom staffs"
- state in your invitation guest arrival within 7.45 - 8pm. let them know any nearest surau/musolla so they could perform their maghrib at your place
- dont pick theme similar to your hall or carpet..and your color should outdo these 2 items
- balance out your thick rendang ayam/daging with light sayur. pajeri nanas too heavy to fit this combo

and i sempat asked him how to benchmark canopy price (after terkejut reading mira's post)...before ni i only refer here as quick guideline. as per syawal :

- arabian canopy with table & chairs (rm300-350)
- complete with standard/butterfly scallop (rm400-450)
- complete with scallops & chair cover+ribbon & fan+lampu (rm500-550)
- underlayer (rm100)
- chandelier (max rm100)
- mist fan (rm100-rm180)

we finally placed deposit for our catering. malas to fikir lagi cos getting caterer who can offer below rm25/pax for seating event not that easy and so far the well knowns are suri catering, siti catering and yeob catering being the cheapest (rm20/pax siap meja & kerusi banquet lagi hehe)

btw, we heard lots of insufficient food during kenduri & kebetulan i bumped into Mutiara Catering's site and they commented on this issue : Part 1 & Part 11. it's worth reading :)

last weekend

i took one day leave & spent my recent weekend in my hometown, visiting abah who just had a minor surgery. alhamdulillah, he's getting better :) i promised myself not to discuss any wed prep last visit, considering abah's condition. but abah was the one beria & initiated the discussion since my brother too getting engaged this coming dec. i still remember last raya when my bro asked my mum to look out for engagement ring. ibu & myself were clueless, until ibu finally said "pi lah beli dgn dia, biaq dia pilih. kan dia yang nak pakai.." i nodded to bro & smile, very much agreed to ibu's suggestion...

back to my prep, abah will hire Pakcik Brahim for catering. he used to be our caterer for few of our family events, but yang peliknya, so far i tak penah rasa his food pun hehe...for canopy & props etc, P.Brahim will outsource to other vendor since he only do catering. abah specified his canopies, chairs, layout etc. i like them all, except no. of canopies proposed which seems sedikit for the guest numbers :( nvm, raya haji nanti we'll meet up P.Brahim - will seek for his advise & let him talk to abah should he think the same too :) btw P.Brahim, if u cant find any white+clean+tegang canopy, im fine with whatever you have hehe...

moving on to doorgift, abah agreed to paper pouch yeay! few aunties called up mum & now she proposing for sweets/chocs/agar2 kering as fillers. NOOOOO...i want my eggs..i want my eggs. i know eggs would require last minute job, but pleaseee, the hassle just once-off k....glad that abah's on my side :D

for bunga pahar, we'll buy 200pcs ready made at Jln TAR nanti, ibu nak sangat. my decorator will help to add some deco - she said cheaper than upah her to do a new one...ooo ok :) for bunga pahar hantaran, tradition from fiance-a-proud-johorian, i'll DIY..dah lama sangat perap idea ni & the steps pun sonang je :)

for my 1-tier cake, ibu will order fondant from her friend - subject to outcome of my bro's hantaran cake this dec hehehe :P in-laws pun dah kasi duit to place booking for bertandang cake..but i told fiance for whatever reason do not spend that 4-digits given solely for cake.. membazir, married friends pun remind no guest would stay just to eat the towering cake...we already contacted this vendor for quo, and hopefully in-laws would agree to go for design simplicity too..

btw, fiance & family had 2nd food testing from this caterer. in-laws dah approve, we'll meet up with Syawal this weekend to discuss further...in-laws will decide on menu later. we also praying can tukar the chair ribbon to organza instead of striking fuschia satin hehe..and we dont want any pink table top too...alas meja pun dah cukup...

alhamdulillah, bestie shafaf finally selamat diijabkabulkan with her hubby, firdaus on friday. few unpleasant things happened that day; makeup artist didnt turn up due to emergency, air takde seharian, pengapit tidak dapat dikesan sehari sebelumnya hehe....but im impressed shafaf managed her stress very well and somehow, things will fall into place in the end they said - which is very very true :)

early friday morning, teman her and arfah to floristika to get some flowers for her bouquet. the chinese lady was so rude when we asking for suggestion, we pejamkan mata je cos dah last minute kan hehe :) then to SSF, buying the remaining organza pouch for nikah favors. i excused myself 2hrs to gym dulu then pegi rumah shafaf to help her DIY-ing the bouquet.

kak liza's relative passed away, so she replaced with her friend. lupe nak tanya nama cos we were so excited tengok shafaf di-makeover hehe..lawa, and the makeup style very close to kak liza's. accessories by Saidatulnisa's boutique & her pretty dress by kimie kajang.

nikah theme was purple & above part of her room deco. she got my fave hydrangeas, with calla lily cucuk2 on top...remind me of Poetry of Flower's style..love it!

saje post pic yang berselerak with batang bunga..bukti DIY haha :P i'd always prefer sweet williams over baby's breath as fillers..tapi shafaf nak jugak baby's breath tu hehe..to tell the whole truth, i tukang cabut daun je hehe...arfah who also the first-timer yang turn them to everyone's dream bouquet :)

I'm currently looking for telur pindang maker here in kl. i've tried once during my schooling in johor, given by friend who just return from her relative's kenduri. erm, tak kena sgt with my tekak but now am pretty much interested knowing it's part of tradition giving by johorian pengantins :) fiance's family is johorian, so the in-laws prefer to have telur pindang as doorgift for bertandang.

i have 2 contacts in hand, but would like to keep my option open as much possible :) any other recommendation? we really really interested to consider one if the price is good, thanks!

next month will due for invitation card order. to jimat, we decided to share same card - the most to differentiate bride's & groom's invitation maybe color ribbon kot :) the funny thing, bride will have blue ribbon while the groom's card with er, pink ribbon :P itu pun if our budget allows for ribbon hehe!

abah said 1000pcs dah cukup for both weddings, but i'll order some extras just in case. i've read somewhere better to order extra 25-50pcs rather than placing new order later which will cost u lots higher.

knowing our malasness, we'll be picking anything off-rack je. sebulan (or most 2 mths?) je kan siap? hopefully we can send out latest by early jan =)

we finally booked photographer for our majlis bertandang. until last Tuesday, he still asking "dah habis survey ke ni?" honestly we didn't :P we did seek quotation from as many photographers but we only met up with few who meet our budget & liking. we loved the finished pictures to look as much natural to real event, so we only shortlist photographers who not keen doing the kabus-kabus or anything like "brushpaint" effect. 1 or 2 pics are ok with such editing, but not the whole album - it'll lose its art, IMHO hehe :)

btw, kak nana dah tunaikan her months-ago janji to contact her friend, to be hired as wedding coordinator for our majlis bertandang. for formal seating, walaupun sekecil 5oopax, i think it's a must. fiance foresee the need, but we dont want any of family member or friends to be the runner cos they're supposed to enjoy, kan. for cheaper option, we look out for freelancer and happened that kak nana's friend dah biasa with event management & wedding planning task. he's also one of male secretary in our office, and we've worked together for one event last year. heard he's so fussy, but i never come across seeing he marah2 vendors as few storied by my colleagues hehe..we're not prepared yet to meet him up personally, tunggu after i draft some expected tasks for him dulu la..takut kene marah..

i told fiance not to expecting perfection, we're actually hiring him to minimize the imperfection - that's all :)

yesterday was pre-sale for Isetan member card :) ajak my fiance hunting for hantaran and after work, we off to one in The Garden. heaven, dapat shopping dgn tenang dan tanpa beratur panjang seperti di klcc yeay :P

perfume as usual mane2 pun no discount, isetan only offer extra freebies for this pre-sale. i got rm120 vouchers to spend off, so oklah. bought the latest Gucci for him, which he insisted for hantaran. the woody smell so sexy on him, and very masculine too :) im not going to get any perfume or toiletries, cos honestly i dont quite like it as my hantaran kahwin (engagement takpe, cos if sume food/manisan sure boring kan..). reason being, sebotol perfume can buy bebile je when old perfume dah habis and price of full set perfume can afford me a nice purse or handbag or even Nine West pair...so i feel so rugi to waste hundreds only for perfume hehe..

then, i got him bag that he wanted so much for hantaran. i was so happy cos the bag is on 50% discount only for yesterday (today back to normal price), and on top of that we redeemed rm30 vouchers from his perfume purchase :) jimat lagi...

heels for hantaran, none really caught my eyes. i ended up spending for my kasut keje which on 40% discount. Aldo office shoes pun left below rm200, quite a bargain but HP is more comfy to my feet after few tryouts :)

few things to update in one entry :)

yesterday noon, we met this designer & get him to sketch few designs with cosry's buttons. i'm still waiting for quotation, hopefully not lari much from our budget :( as the discussion about to end, fellow blogger Sue arrived...she sooo prettty. hopefully, this designer help to solve stuffs that bothering her since she came back to kl.

then we jln2, checking out progress of our house. tinggal basement parking je belum cat, lps ni will garu kepala again to find money to do the grill, beli kipas lampu etc before we could rent out to tenants. market price nearby is higher than our monthly payment, so oklah i think to rent out :)

after pekena nice roti arab at this cafe, we jln2 at few shoplots. check out what i found at this kedai kasut.

almost similar to my prev post :) and the price is only rm59.90! murah, kan? if u dont mind kasut with no brand hiks..i grabbed one sbb tak tahan they so cheap hehehe!

mlm i belanja my fiance cos 3rd Oct is his bday :) the dinner ruined my diet somehow, but im happy that fiance loved the place so much (and the food too!). our fave is their crunchy crabstick & tom kah seafood. again, happy 25th to beloved fiance :)

finally yesterday, after 8 months, i berjaya jugak jejakkan kaki balik to gym (ppl, i gained 12 kilos after my engagement). to be honest, i never like workout - esp the tiring cardiiiiooooooo. and i only semangat to kurus whenever there's occasion that need me to bergambar - vacation, engagement and now wedding. otherwise, i'm eating like so nobody's business :P my colleague faeizah menjadi saksi during my turun-naik since 2007 hehe. i start to feel the tense during raya, one of aunty joking "kau buffet tetiap hari ke bulan puasa ni?" and abah was so serious too warning about getting kurus - but he's more to health reason.

good news, since i've been loyal member to FF since 2007, (baya memanjang tapi pegi can kira with jari je) they upgrade me to First Club member yesterday, and one of benefit, i can bring guest f.o.c. during weekend - so fiance got no reason to excuse yes yes yes!! pergi berdua barula semangat sikit kan hehe! the not so good news, parking is no longer free for FF member :(

btw friends, i need to shed off 10kilos by dec, wish me luck :)

p/s : now i had another ticker to chase, means another daily routine on treadmill & stepper..yes ppl, daily :( yg baca pun penat kan?

i loveeeeeeeeeee the side flowers by her pelamin. so gorgeous with dangling crystals...remind me of this! and the pics just gave me idea where to hang the DIY butterfly (which if u malas, u can get crystal butterfly from SSF)! pretty!

love the detailing at her veil too..i guess i'm bias, cos i love chiffon heeee.

no, im eyeing hantaran at the back one! white pinkish cymbi one of my fave orchid (apart from white phalaenopsis) :) tapi berangan je lah, cos they're soooo expensive. fiance kata tanam sendiri kalau nak jimat, hehe :P perli la tu.

makeup (penang event)

one of checklist i wish to accomplish during this raya leave is - makeup for my penang event.

yesterday after our trip to SSF, my sis temankan to 2 bridal boutique as per recommendation. one thing yg i always frust dgn MUA luar kl ni (not all), if u notice, sometimes makeup dah ok, but part rambut tu, hurm...balik2 fesyen fringe penyek dan melekat kat forehead. and bile u sweating, rambut yang melekat tadi tu start berserak and nampak berminyak sgt...hehe.

since im going to make do with options here, i should forget those rambut penyek thing. i need to move forward..

we booked the 1st boutique, im pretty comfortable seeing result of some their dark skinned clients. rate pun murah. the cons, bos butik tu cant promise to makeup at my house if too many pengantin on that day. what the..? it will be the most kalut day for any bride, takkan la i have to drive jauh gile just to get the makeup done? and the funniest thing, my photographer will capture my makeup moment dekat butik tu kah? hehe. so far, im the only one booking for that date - supposedly i should be given priority lah kan :( luckily, this one baik hati staff gave me the MUA no. and ask me to deal with him personally. he said, if the MUA is ok to come to my house then bos butik tu cant say anything...will see how..

2nd boutique in SP, mahal sikit from 1st boutique but no transport charge to my house :) very friendly. the rate solely for makeup, but he not berkira when i ask for f.o.c accessories. better hairstyling, can see some volume rather than penyek kat dahi tu hehe...but personally, i think his makeup is too light for a wedding...if engagement, then ok.

we enjoy good massage & beach activities, and nice seafood at cheaapp prices.

we both are first child & grandkid to get married in family. so, let the excited parents do the headcount hehe :)

i dont see why they should be an exception. the more the merrier okay hehe.

11. how many layers of cake do u want?
3 is maximum. for my home reception, cake stand dah membantu, so we probably need just one layer :)

12. when do u want to get married? morning or evening?
i love evening events. and guess what? we have all - nikah pagi, sanding noon and bertandang malam hehe!

i have few in mind, but Bagaikan Sakti is a must for my penang reception hehe..

14. do u prefer fine dining or just normal fork/spoon/knife?
honestly formal dining, lebih terurus but slightly expensive. for penang reception, we have buffet je. cheaper for large crowd and the neigbourhood pun dah used to it :)

15. champange or red wine?
cordial orange je (walaupun wedding tema biru hehe)

16. honeymoon after the wedding or days after?
two days after. sbb his parents tentatively want to have maulud after majlis bertandang. if not dah dapat seminggu honeymoon tau hehe!

17. money or household items?
both. wedding scrapbook pun boleh :P

18. how many kids would u like to have?
fiance ambitiously nak extra from what his parents had. hello, siblings dia 7 okay... and my company limit free bersalin 5 org je ye haha..

19. will u record your honeymoon in DVD or CD?
oh, takde kot. simpan dlm laptop je. boring2 can sambung to tv like we did for engagement. my tangan obviously shaking time fMIL nak sarung cincin, fiance gelak tak ingat. dammit.

i'm still on raya leave, and yesterday me & my sis had the chance to drop by SSF in my hometown...besar okayyy hehe.

remember my post on white cake stand? SSF web still advertising rm58 price tag, but yesterday i only got them rm35. murah kan :) they can be nice dulang hantaran if u're looking for one too. tapi yang sesuai as dulang yang with plain design tu je kot hehe..

then we found cute blue container for table centerpiece/deco. quite besar and with stripes, selling for rm3 je, cheap lah compared to buying clear glass yang berat berpuluh2 ringgit tu. ade few colors to choose from, seriously the pink comel sangat! have to choose properly cos ade yang dah comot..

of all artificial tulip sold at most shops, this from SSF is my fave. material sangat berkualiti - so they look sooo real. i'm looking for white tulip tapi out of stock. purple & peach je yang ada. yeap, another inspiration of Ashraf & BCL bashinlove hehe..btw, they can be nice handbouquet too..rm27 je for bunch of 24 stalks. later after wed, u can do for home deco :)

p/s : marina told me white frame kat ikea dah habis. wah, cepatnye hehe..

i'm a little pissed off.

i supposed to get all bridal mags that she borrowed months ago today. and today, none of my Ratu Sehari is returned!

i always had the feeling when things borrowed to someone else for too long, it's either u wont get them back or u're getting them not as what u wish..

my biggest dissapointment was, she didnt let me know earlier the mags tak cukup while on the way to my house :( pls understand, im really sensitive when comes to my wedding mags. i lend you my mags to help u out with your preparation (tho i didnt like the idea of letting your Indon designer to keep my mag for reference), so i hope u'll make way for my preparation too :(

i dont want your money, pls pls i just want my mags back :((((

i know it's bad to feel this way, especially when Aidilfitri is coming in next few days. suppose we bermaaf-maafan, but now im no longer in the mood of doing so :(

the blooming of big hydrangeas making the hantaran really special on its own.

i have posted this pic a year ago, when i was freakingly hunting for right turqoise dress for my wed. im still clueless, until now i cant really decide how my reception dress should look like. the more survey i did, the more i cant decide..options out there are too pretty to be missed. and finding a good designer/tailor to do a dream dress, particularly within my budget is really challenging!

one thing that i'm sure of, i wanted something with button yang banyak2 tu (i called them cosry-wannabes dress hehe). and nothing overboard, since it's for reception taking place at my home sweet home. the theme should be homey as possible :)

and below seems my favourite, humble one by Syomir Izwa. design of 2007.

i already had the lace. all i need is plain white chiffon for kain part. and i need the A-line too, to balance my wide hips :) without veil pun ok.

i love kebaya pendek. but i dont mind to get them labuh if my designer think it's the best to hide my hips. but not too labuh like cosry's - i know my bonzai body wont look good in it hehe.

i'll alter the design abit. neckline shouldnt be too exposed, for bertandang oklah kat kl kan :) and lengan part, should be panjang, not 3-suku - and add some buttons please. see, told you i love the cosry's buttons...hehe.

for finishing, i already bought Swarovski crystal in jakarta. tak banyak lah, nak suruh add sikit2 je. if no embellishment langsung, nanti nampak mcm baju pengapit je kan hehe :P

again, im not putting too much hope...all i know now, some fats need to be shed off before my measurement this coming dec, haih...!

p/s : new Pengantin mag sudah berada di pasaran, Intan Ladyana on cover :P
