Nilai 3 for malaysian brides!

heard from our bride-to-be friend that Nilai 3 got so much to offer for weddings. from clothes to bunga pahar to wedding favors to hantaran decos etc. after a long-waiting, me & my housemate, ezi went to check out the place with our shared objective - search as much wedding stuffs & as cheapest possible LOL!
reached there by noon, sunny and hot. we went from one shop to another looking for what they can offer. the stuffs? nothing much of my interest but i got to admit the prices were darn cheap. for a similar stuff, i went to 4 shops with first offered rm5, then rm3.90, then 2.90 and the last shop gave me rm1.80 - i told you!!
me actually looking for bunga pahar design since for turqoise color, not much choices available even after a long searching in internet and wedding mag. most of the turqoise offered are not really a turqoise of my perspective hehe...they're mostly striking light blue!
me & ezi came across to this famous shop (since they're always in wedding mag). i would say the prices were quite expensive, unless you're member which entitled for member's price which is sometimes cheaper compared to the rest shops in Nilai 3.and one thing about this shop, the hantarans were damn exclusive and nice.they quote me the price but i dont really have an idea whether it's reasonable or else. i bought the turqoise bunga dulang - would be a perfect sample for bunga pahar design later. very simple, and i like it.
also bought 6 wired basket for a very unbelievable prices!! i'll use the basket to fill the potpourri/bunga rampai both for my coming engagement and perhaps, rotate it for my wedding day hehe...
i nearly bought those orange bakul buluh (to fit my peach engagement theme) since they're only 70cents per box! but they're packed in 50 boxes which is for me too much for just a small engagement ceremony. i just need around 20 boxes as favor for the guests, especially from dotty's side. oh, fyi normally the bakul buluh is rm1 at least :)
perhaps i'll pay my second visit to Nilai 3 for wedding favors. Not this very soon. Perhaps after my comparison with Bandung this January!

engagement wear

i finally bought ourselves a pair of engagement wear, and i got it from my last visit to Jakel with my mom! dotty was sleeping when i told him that there's a change in our plan - we gotta make it peach instead of pink...! *totally because i cant find any soft & sweet pink pieces.....sigh*

it was chiffon beaded in peach. i've seen the pattern last few months but the color was turqoise, and to be frank i felt in love the moment i saw those pieces of turqoise (since i've planned it for my wedding in penang). no matter how much i admire it, i have to cancel it since it's rm1k for 4metres - which is a lot pricey from my budget.....

but not during my visit with my mom last week! Jakel once again having their wedding promotion and ehem, i got those SAME 4 metres for a very unbelievable price!!!! my mom kinda agree, and she said my skin is far better with peach compared to pale pink (gotta agree with my mom finally). i swop the satin with cream chiffon cos i dont fancy the shiny reflection from lining satin.

guess what, for the first time, i saw my mom busy looking for the perfect pair for my dotty to match my peach chiffon (surprise!). groom pair offered in Jakel wedding package was neither of me or my mom's interest. hell shining satin, which i damn dont like it. we decided to exchange it with other pieces and the not so good was the rest came with extra cost.

we finally found the right one for dotty! still satin, but no more shining for rm48 p/metre. a bit expensive from earlier one which is rm18 p/metre but i just couldnt care anymore hahaha..

i paid & walked out from the shop with lotsa flowery feeling .......

let the day gone, memory is there to stay

Susah betul nak kahwin ni kan. Lots of small2 things kene pikir. Settled with bride nye photography, gotta think of KL punye plak! Most of KL nye quotation exceed my budget (tula sape suh tgk yang glemer2 je haha) Trying to put the price aside, for a few seconds maybe and ohh, I just cant keep my eyes from CS work! But alamak, they don’t entertain any quotation request from email or phone, so cemane yek. Selambe, email gak huhu. Kalo dapat, dapat le kan…Few days later, sapex returned with an ‘introduction’ call. Friendly gile sapex ni, and to cut it short, we finally set an appointment time betul2 on cuti hari pekerja. Hari lain cam susah cos CS only open on weekdays, bak kate sapex weekend kan diorg kene keje..lupe plak!

Ting tong! Sapex welcomed me & dotty. “Isk, macam kenal la…” sambil pointing to dotty and “eh, ni pun mcm kenal gak” sambil tgk kat I pulak. Haha.kantoi jua akhirnye. “Yelah sapex, kitorg member Ju** & Ca** hihihi”. Malas nak ckp awal2, yelah org CS ni deal ngan byk client sape lah kite ni utk diingati kan kan…nak2 pulak bkn wedding kitorg hehe.. Deep down for me, it’s a plus point for CS, macam memberi sign each wedding is worth to be remembered by the guests & friends, as how much he remembered us kan..?

It was a great hour having consultation with sapex (sian sapex kene keje on hari cuti…hari pekerja pulak tu hihi). Me & dotty had chance to see & feel his final touch, fuhh marvelous! And the price? Considering the finishing quality (with CS brand more hehe), it WORTH the price! The only concern was since the wedding will be in hall, ok ke if sorg je photographer? Sapex sengih, “aku bawak assistant la..” haha..yeke..ok2.beresssss.

Dotty : “Ok, I confirm nak sapex for our wedding!!!” And he sounds like FINAL! Me? Happy lah kan but in the same time, gotta think on sourcing more money since dh ter-exceed budget sikit hehe..Unfortunately, we cant book now cos 2010 like 2 yrs from now & the price will slightly increase sob sob. The only way is to maybe consult with his boss. Price 2008 for wedding 2010. Boleh tak? *head-scratched*

btw, Selamat Hari Pekerje sapex hehe!

the BIG day should remain

I’m a genuine believer of good picture lasts and here I am, seating & endlessly searching for photography quotation. Not exceeding budget, hopefully. The hardest part? Getting the right photographer in my hometown. I believe there are lots, but sadly they’re not internet savvy enough. No website, no fotopages then how should I view their previous work or even reach them? Sigh.

Found 2 Penang photography services & I didn’t wait to give them a call soon after I viewed their work. Not as great as KL ones, but still worth to be appreciated after all!

I kinda like quotation from Romantis-Studio. Considering their deliverables, the packages seem affordable and some even can be tailored to our budget yeay! (siap ade further discount for wedding not in school holiday tuu hehe..) The engagement package is less than 1k and guess what, it comes with a storybook album and being covered by PRINCIPAL photographer!! hmm, belum discount bukan hari cuti sekolah lagi tu kawan-kawan....Plan to drop by their studio before i REALLY decide on this.
Perhaps i'm done with bride side photographer?
