i'm sorry the comeback entry had nothing to do with wedding. yours truly & hubby just involved in accident...alhamdulillah we didnt suffer any major injury except some neck pain & kepala benjol sikit terhantuk tingkap after our car spinned twice before we hit the divider on the way to klia last thursday. i'm still on 7-days mc before next ortho checkup this friday...for time being, doctor suruh pakai soft collar as mild support to my neck which i so failed to obey sebab rasa mcm robocop :(


on a lighter note, we've received unedited pics from OPs :) i'll start doing my wedding post mortem soon!...but krabi honeymoon entry will potong queue dulu hehe

i'm meeting up our photographer this evening. fiance not joining cos he's extremely tied up with works, his boss gile kejam :( we'll discuss our pre-wedding photo this weekend & sadly, i'm not up to any ideas pun :( :( the offer was pretty last minute & now my brain pun dah tepu dgn segala pending wedding prep haih!

all i could think of; casual white tees & jeans. balloons. cotton candy. ice cream. borrrrrrinnnnggg kan?

fiance advised to re-try my ring since i've lost some weight..i may need to resize. so the noon was spent at jeweller..yeap, the ring now abit longgar..since im planning to lose few kgs more, our SA suggest for resizing to be done only by end Jan & he promised the process nothing longer than 2 days...baiklah! :) p/s : their Lazare now on 30% sale...bencinyeeee...

fiance's nehru now sent to his father's fave Antonz..they berborak like nobody's business sampai i tertido while waiting for them! coming 23rd is the fitting..praying hard the result as good as the bill...

semalam we met the baker. this aunty very very nice & full of ideas...but i prefer to keep the cake design just as the pic in mag...simple :) we only change the topping part, which this aunty very keen of doing hydrangeas hehe...and she even made us few samples...so as of now, bye bye peony!

then headed to klcc..catching some sale, mostly tinggal the leftovers...fiance got his white shoes for bertandang, happy :)

p/s : with 1mth+ left, i tell you...setiap weekend dah macam amazing race hehe...

friends, i know i still hutang some of u email reply....the qs like mcm2, dont worry cos honestly i love attending your qs :) bcos u remind of what i've gone through last time..the ride is never easy, but worthwhile!

all in all i could conclude fave query from the b2b-ies is rate for udey, ikram & syomir. it would be alot easier if i could publish the rate here but im just not going to. reason being, vendor tu sendiri pun tak publish his rate in his web...i had to respect their policy as well :)

the Yaasin finally delivered to my office tengahari tadi, the stamping for cover ada silap sikit but they'll reprint new copies in next few days. i'm satisfied with the content; the wording very neat, every single line of ayat Yaasin came with tafsir...and they also include some daily doa :) thank you so much to vendor.

my auntie called, informing the quran hantaran now dah safely with her. thanks to her for sponsoring :) the dulang slot actually dah full...and i've got no plan to add up anymore dulang. so let's just share the slot with kain sembahyang & get Nasz to work the magic hee!

btw, i just received shocking news from one of my vendor tadi. i'll call the co. tomorrow to cancel my booking & make necessary arrangement for this new offer. btw, it's great to still having you for our wedding! thanks again for letting us know... :)

p/s : my aunty still have extra for Quran. bought from Mekah & came in kaabah miniature box. i'll upload pics once i pickup from aunty this weekend, in case anyone interested to buy... =)

we finally booked photographer for our majlis bertandang. until last Tuesday, he still asking "dah habis survey ke ni?" honestly we didn't :P we did seek quotation from as many photographers but we only met up with few who meet our budget & liking. we loved the finished pictures to look as much natural to real event, so we only shortlist photographers who not keen doing the kabus-kabus or anything like "brushpaint" effect. 1 or 2 pics are ok with such editing, but not the whole album - it'll lose its art, IMHO hehe :)

btw, kak nana dah tunaikan her months-ago janji to contact her friend, to be hired as wedding coordinator for our majlis bertandang. for formal seating, walaupun sekecil 5oopax, i think it's a must. fiance foresee the need, but we dont want any of family member or friends to be the runner cos they're supposed to enjoy, kan. for cheaper option, we look out for freelancer and happened that kak nana's friend dah biasa with event management & wedding planning task. he's also one of male secretary in our office, and we've worked together for one event last year. heard he's so fussy, but i never come across seeing he marah2 vendors as few storied by my colleagues hehe..we're not prepared yet to meet him up personally, tunggu after i draft some expected tasks for him dulu la..takut kene marah..

i told fiance not to expecting perfection, we're actually hiring him to minimize the imperfection - that's all :)

it was nearly 9pm when we reached the studio; i was accompanying Shafaf last Wed to meet up potential photographers for her coming wedding. and for the first time too, i met him in person, *berdebar sikit, as i didnt't expect he was still around at that hour hehehe..macam-macam rahsia terbongkar and i'd rather let the walls to safely keep them ;)

i was there to get the booking date changed too and just glad that it will again be on our anniversary. thanks to CNY as i can save some of annual leave due to that. on the negative note, getting married on long weekend of public holiday means alot of "early bookings" required hehe.

i'm about to close my nikah theme indecisive-ness after being convinced by mr photographer. while salha & shafaf; the bubblies met & berborak like nobody's business..tetibe i heard oxidizing, cis dah agak mesti lari topik ni...from photography package to makeup to interior design hehehe..and finally, we left about 10.30pm.

to Salha & photographer pojaan, sorry for keeping u both that late. shafaf kalut je start kete dier to avoid harrassment from keling yg korg cakap tu hahaha. harap suatu hari nanti dapat lah merasa nasik lemak yang digembar-gemburkan tu ;D

as i was about to click "publish post" button (it's 6am anyway), i glance again his blog. and word of the day "OMG". aku segan udey...sungguh ni. thanks alot to u & team, kita jumpa di kepala bataih nanti ok ;D (speaking utara ngan ko membuatkan aku rindu kampung halamanku....) selamat membuat persiapan utk Salha *wink.

It's official now ..

Udey Ismail is our main photographer for nikah & home reception in Penang :) we did survey avicenna, nurulsuhaimi, prettypeektures, jangguttouch. somehow, love at first sight that keep bringing us back to him hehe.

for outstation customer, we entitled for 30mins free outdoor photoshoot. Coupled with their extended promo, we have total of 1.5hrs free outdoor. to-do : lookout nearby place for outdoor & shorten to max 1 hr je.

for majlis bertandang, after bayar booking lah baru spell out ;) hehe.

we checked out the Curve D&P last weekend. been eyeing for their Estrellas almost a year now and GR 3*** still the tempting one as ever .. my second choice if their sister co. not putting up any sale this December hehehe.

anyway, i came across this pic while surfing for fuschia ideas. i can now relate my color to flowers too yeay, like how u link lavender to purple :D this is due to hard time explaining to veterans what fuschia really really is..

"pink mcm bunga kertas tu lah maktok.." (sambil pointing pokok di halaman rumah) hihi.

but, bougainvillas do come in magenta too :P

well, life's just too short to bother fuschia/magenta thingy.

except wedding decorators, as long the rest know it's hot pink..i'm totally fine :D

i finally concluded 2008 income tax, and this year marked as my first being eligible tax payer ..

part of my dissapoinment : if gov really promoting healthy lifestyle, why cant they allow tax deduction for gym membership as what they waive for sport equipment purchase..? *sigh*

met photographer during lunchtime, sort of completing my survey between these 2 photographers for majlis bertandang. meeting with first photographer was done earlier on sunday, making the comparison whole lot easier today ..

i'm pretty satisfied with today's quotation. seems to me 2nd photographer had more to offer than the first one, tho their prices are almost similar! ok, a diff of 50 bux :P

i'm sharing you the summary for both ..

1st photographer
- senior photographer with assistant
- well known co.
- better album finishing
- 4hrs coverage, based on friends' experience usually more than stated hours ..
- 1 storybook album 10x12
- promotion of that extra hour still ongoing

2nd photographer
- cheaper by 50 bux :P
- CC member
- principal photographer with assistant
- 7hrs coverage
- 1 storybook album 10x24
- 1 pocket album with briefcase, with 200pcs coloured + sephia pix

we're quite firm with our choice, am a little confused when the 2nd photographer still refuse my booking deposit and wanted me to continue survey before hiring him. pelik tetapi benar. he currently blockbooking the date for us & let me confirm NOTHING earlier than these 2 weeks, hihihi ....

anyway, i found local malay wedding with fuschia theme. not much of fuschia actually, the flowers used for deco still the pastel pink roses but at least, i can be sure the theme isn't that weird and it can be worked out in our local wedding, hehehe ....

for wedding, i'm thinking of having juntaian bunga melur for sirih junjung. juntaian, bukan taburan bunga melur hehehe..

i've seen something similar and yet very minimalist by LyndaRahim. step-by-step using bunga melur available in at least 3 bridal mags that i bought lately, interesting, but i don't think i'm good at turning them to masterpiece. huru hara nanti haha ..

a little update; i've booked my makeup slot for majlis bertandang. lambat betul assistant dia nak confirm for payment hehe ..

critical stuff yang tinggal for bertandang is photographer, the rest boleh hold dulu. all this while, i never did any survey, other than this well-known co. cos the artwork by one of them sangat cantik pada pandangan mata saya. in fact, last May i met him at their studio but again, siapa nak bukak for 2010 booking lg kan? lagipun, we didn't fix any wedding date pun time tu ..lame lagi daa :D

tetapi, mr dressmaker berfikiran sebaliknya. he said my fave is his second choice! he suggested this photographer instead, and to be honest, i never heard about him. i browsed his portfolio, and to my surprise, memang lebih cantik dari my photographer pojaan itu. inilah akibat tidak mahu survey, dang! i rang him last weekend, and the price? agak murah utk click couture member! he wasn't a pushy type, siap suruh survey & compare yg lain dulu rather than rushingly hiring him. eheh, reverse psychology, tapi bagi saya itu lebih professional rather than hearing something like these :

"baik awak book saya cepat, kita dah ada booking even sampai May next year tau.."

or

"baik awak book saya sekarang, nanti date tu dh tak available tak dapatla nak tolong.."

wedding to be rememberred

one of my fave wedding, it was in my folder quite a longgg time.
i didnt know the couple, happened to stumble upon the piccies while wedding hunting on net.
Knysa & Omar, they called.

they had a perfect one. they themselves a perfect couple - sama cantik & sama padan or bagai pinang dibelah dua like we used to say, kan.

with my plumpy bod, i know i wont look good in songket. but i adore those wearing one for their wedding, and the one that i admire definitely a white songket. Knysa's blue songket with lace by Salikin Sidek was darnnn lovely, and soo matched her traditional wedding theme.

and i must say, they had the most wedding montages on net i ever seen. complete collection of their journey to bliss, with syahdu background songs by myshots. photos & videos, you named it.

Pameran Pengantin 2008

finally my long waited Pameran Pengantin 2008 in midvalley from 4-7 July 08!! me & dotty woke up early ok, tanak lame2 cari parking lah, mkn cepat2 lah kunun haha..beria2, but at last kul 1 gak br masuk that fair.

the good part of this time wedding fair is, the target crowd is malay hee..before this, lots of chinese ones, expensive and lots of gowns which i dont really fancy for my wedding.

ok, that's the good part. but the best part is ---- lots of famous designers, photographers, decorators were here, giving their best price to lucky ones.to name a few; candidsyndrome, prettypeektures, jovian mandagie, nas great idea, pak abu etc.

me & dotty were actually looking for 'ideas' for our coming engagement. nothing much actually cos most of em will be at penang side. tapi sempat jugak tu we berangan on our far-away-wedding, cam biase la i lebih2 hihi...

let's get started..

bridal wear
my fave will always be jovian mandagie, whose work very much inspired by his indonesian culture. his white lacey wedding dress, with heavy shining beads enough to keep me speechlessly standing, and again to realize for countless times that i cant afford it...! (even the price gone down to rm4k after 50% discount huhu). the next best thing? lavish french lace dress from Glam Collection (sponsor for Dynas' wedding). rm1.5k sepasang with accessories. cantik gile.......yang ini boleh la masuk dlm list yeyeay...

CandidSyndrome still the best, partnering with Jovian for dress+photo package (rm6k). CS offerred rm1488, covering the wedding photoshoot & 10"x12" storybook album. best2, nasib baik lambat lagi. if not x pasal2 ade jugak yang melayang 30% deposit hehe..!! videography mostly rm1k++. penang rm600 je, jgn marah.

invitation card

went to this one booth, the salesgirl is very sombong but the hardcovered cards are pretty, but a little expensive. next stop was LH Creative where i met my long-lost friend, mimi. her kenduri will be in nov, no wonder la ko busy skarang ye~ this booth ramai gile org, the cards are selling cheap & designs were damn niceee...hardcovered rm2.50 je but min order is 500. really fancy this simple white card with silver font, 80cents je...murahnye..cop!!

dais

nas great idea la the greatestttt...and as usual good things dont come cheap :) cheapest they can offer for dais in house is rm3k++. hall starting from rm5-6k if x mistaken, remember STARTING. but one thing i found out about them, they wont repeat any design to the next customer even how much you're dying for that. wow, they really mean "exclusive" here.my budget just rm1.5k & already found some vendors who can fit the theme that i want with our budget *wink* but for now, i'm more on mini pelamin for engagement. cantik kan mini pelamin from zaifie & fathinz ni? (above)

let the day gone, memory is there to stay

Susah betul nak kahwin ni kan. Lots of small2 things kene pikir. Settled with bride nye photography, gotta think of KL punye plak! Most of KL nye quotation exceed my budget (tula sape suh tgk yang glemer2 je haha) Trying to put the price aside, for a few seconds maybe and ohh, I just cant keep my eyes from CS work! But alamak, they don’t entertain any quotation request from email or phone, so cemane yek. Selambe, email gak huhu. Kalo dapat, dapat le kan…Few days later, sapex returned with an ‘introduction’ call. Friendly gile sapex ni, and to cut it short, we finally set an appointment time betul2 on cuti hari pekerja. Hari lain cam susah cos CS only open on weekdays, bak kate sapex weekend kan diorg kene keje..lupe plak!

Ting tong! Sapex welcomed me & dotty. “Isk, macam kenal la…” sambil pointing to dotty and “eh, ni pun mcm kenal gak” sambil tgk kat I pulak. Haha.kantoi jua akhirnye. “Yelah sapex, kitorg member Ju** & Ca** hihihi”. Malas nak ckp awal2, yelah org CS ni deal ngan byk client sape lah kite ni utk diingati kan kan…nak2 pulak bkn wedding kitorg hehe.. Deep down for me, it’s a plus point for CS, macam memberi sign each wedding is worth to be remembered by the guests & friends, as how much he remembered us kan..?

It was a great hour having consultation with sapex (sian sapex kene keje on hari cuti…hari pekerja pulak tu hihi). Me & dotty had chance to see & feel his final touch, fuhh marvelous! And the price? Considering the finishing quality (with CS brand more hehe), it WORTH the price! The only concern was since the wedding will be in hall, ok ke if sorg je photographer? Sapex sengih, “aku bawak assistant la..” haha..yeke..ok2.beresssss.

Dotty : “Ok, I confirm nak sapex for our wedding!!!” And he sounds like FINAL! Me? Happy lah kan but in the same time, gotta think on sourcing more money since dh ter-exceed budget sikit hehe..Unfortunately, we cant book now cos 2010 like 2 yrs from now & the price will slightly increase sob sob. The only way is to maybe consult with his boss. Price 2008 for wedding 2010. Boleh tak? *head-scratched*
