makeup (penang event)

one of checklist i wish to accomplish during this raya leave is - makeup for my penang event.

yesterday after our trip to SSF, my sis temankan to 2 bridal boutique as per recommendation. one thing yg i always frust dgn MUA luar kl ni (not all), if u notice, sometimes makeup dah ok, but part rambut tu, hurm...balik2 fesyen fringe penyek dan melekat kat forehead. and bile u sweating, rambut yang melekat tadi tu start berserak and nampak berminyak sgt...hehe.

since im going to make do with options here, i should forget those rambut penyek thing. i need to move forward..

we booked the 1st boutique, im pretty comfortable seeing result of some their dark skinned clients. rate pun murah. the cons, bos butik tu cant promise to makeup at my house if too many pengantin on that day. what the..? it will be the most kalut day for any bride, takkan la i have to drive jauh gile just to get the makeup done? and the funniest thing, my photographer will capture my makeup moment dekat butik tu kah? hehe. so far, im the only one booking for that date - supposedly i should be given priority lah kan :( luckily, this one baik hati staff gave me the MUA no. and ask me to deal with him personally. he said, if the MUA is ok to come to my house then bos butik tu cant say anything...will see how..

2nd boutique in SP, mahal sikit from 1st boutique but no transport charge to my house :) very friendly. the rate solely for makeup, but he not berkira when i ask for f.o.c accessories. better hairstyling, can see some volume rather than penyek kat dahi tu hehe...but personally, i think his makeup is too light for a wedding...if engagement, then ok.

sirih junjung & a little update

for wedding, i'm thinking of having juntaian bunga melur for sirih junjung. juntaian, bukan taburan bunga melur hehehe..

i've seen something similar and yet very minimalist by LyndaRahim. step-by-step using bunga melur available in at least 3 bridal mags that i bought lately, interesting, but i don't think i'm good at turning them to masterpiece. huru hara nanti haha ..

a little update; i've booked my makeup slot for majlis bertandang. lambat betul assistant dia nak confirm for payment hehe ..

critical stuff yang tinggal for bertandang is photographer, the rest boleh hold dulu. all this while, i never did any survey, other than this well-known co. cos the artwork by one of them sangat cantik pada pandangan mata saya. in fact, last May i met him at their studio but again, siapa nak bukak for 2010 booking lg kan? lagipun, we didn't fix any wedding date pun time tu ..lame lagi daa :D

tetapi, mr dressmaker berfikiran sebaliknya. he said my fave is his second choice! he suggested this photographer instead, and to be honest, i never heard about him. i browsed his portfolio, and to my surprise, memang lebih cantik dari my photographer pojaan itu. inilah akibat tidak mahu survey, dang! i rang him last weekend, and the price? agak murah utk click couture member! he wasn't a pushy type, siap suruh survey & compare yg lain dulu rather than rushingly hiring him. eheh, reverse psychology, tapi bagi saya itu lebih professional rather than hearing something like these :

"baik awak book saya cepat, kita dah ada booking even sampai May next year tau.."

or

"baik awak book saya sekarang, nanti date tu dh tak available tak dapatla nak tolong.."

wishing myself a very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY & wonderful year ahead.
thanks friends for all the wishes and to Maklong Nida, many thanks for the cake. love you lots and lots, even the cheese cream really really need me another series of long hours on treadmill later :P

remember my rambling on bridalhouse hunting? i dropped by the "3rd bridal" yesterday. Baby wasnt there, so the whole consultation was done by Rohaizad. nice person to deal with, i must say. i was so happy to know they have the flower stands that i wanted, something with candle holders. they just bought for last weekend's wedding, no wonder la before this Baby kate xde je mase i nak yang skali ngan candle lalala...

i just requested for 2 flower stands by sides and a cream backdrop with few fairylights.
the whole idea was make it simple and sweet. nothing less.or more. no chandelier as suggested by Rohaizad due to my ehem-budget friendly effort and sebab keduanya takut my dad marah kalau nak tebuk2 lubang nak gantung chandelier tu huhu.

i insisted makeup to be done at my house, malas nak kelam kabut running from house-shop vice versa.

paid my deposit & walked away..........happily :)

btw, this should be celebrated for my 100th entry ;)

2nd make up testing

my 2nd makeup testing @ 10.30am

this crazy bridezilla was having another makeup testing before heading to her bestie's engagement.
this time it was done by a nyah - Baby from 2nd bridal house. the session was done at his studio, very funny to see the lampu kalimantang used with half of it covered dgn kertas fluorescent color gold which according to him - help him alot in ensuring his make up turned out FABULOUS - hihihihi.

he told me that he previously worked in Butik Jedan (PKNS) before deciding to open his own. he even quoted that wife of this well-known VIP was her loyal client. his main is makeup, but for any tempahan for dress etc, he'll seek for some tailors in Jedan to do it. patutla dress2 dier banyak beads hehe.

the session finished in just an hour, with most of the time being allocated for the eyes. no smokey eyes, but still dramatic! very true, the makeup mmg very light but i didnt quite like the color applied as my base - a bit fair, as compared to my dark skin. commented to him, he was ok and we agreed for our next makeup testing to be in January..crazy betulla ini bridezilla..tunang jeeee oi.

next, alhamdulillah - my bestie's engagement went well. she got engaged to my ex, whose i didnt really consider an ex due to we were just 11 that time - so it did sound to me more of puppy puppy pupppppy love yikes! best betul my bestie, hantaran sponsorred by her abangs and kakaks and DIY lagi. rezeki anak bongsu, sooo tak aci hehe.
