the biggest problem dah solved, they got me new ones to capture my events. and they compensated with free pre-wedding too..doubt fiance will have time for this, still, i'm shortlisting few places just in case :)

attended wedding of fellow blogger in Equatorial..congrats Sue! love almost everything about your wed esp the pelamin & deco...and very pleased to meet Qis & Diah in person too! and this silent blogger wearing red hijab that night....very friendly (and pretty!)...if u're reading this please invite us to your link k :) p/s : how come i lupa tanya your name? tsk tsk :(

fiance advised to re-try my ring since i've lost some weight..i may need to resize. so the noon was spent at jeweller..yeap, the ring now abit longgar..since im planning to lose few kgs more, our SA suggest for resizing to be done only by end Jan & he promised the process nothing longer than 2 days...baiklah! :) p/s : their Lazare now on 30% sale...bencinyeeee...

fiance's nehru now sent to his father's fave Antonz..they berborak like nobody's business sampai i tertido while waiting for them! coming 23rd is the fitting..praying hard the result as good as the bill...

semalam we met the baker. this aunty very very nice & full of ideas...but i prefer to keep the cake design just as the pic in mag...simple :) we only change the topping part, which this aunty very keen of doing hydrangeas hehe...and she even made us few samples...so as of now, bye bye peony!

then headed to klcc..catching some sale, mostly tinggal the leftovers...fiance got his white shoes for bertandang, happy :)

p/s : with 1mth+ left, i tell you...setiap weekend dah macam amazing race hehe...

during lunch hr, faeizah & myself buat amazing race to pameran pengantin in pwtc. surprisingly, ctcatering not participating..selalu they're like muka wajib in any wedding fair hehe..

im still in midst of hunting our wedding cake, we dropped by all cake booths kat situ & mostly the quotation starts rm600 for 3-tiers cake. Isabella's promo quite interesting, rm440 for 3-tiers (6kgs) but when we requested for sample of that 3-tiers...my, they're too small for my size...so pulang dgn sedikit kecewa. anyhow, both of us love this mini by Isabella....sama2 sibuk snap pic ;P

btw, my parents arriving in next hour. hopefully, we could scrap few pending stuffs from my checklist this weekend :)

p/s : next month kena start settlekan borang & hiv test...malasnye :(

last weekend

i took one day leave & spent my recent weekend in my hometown, visiting abah who just had a minor surgery. alhamdulillah, he's getting better :) i promised myself not to discuss any wed prep last visit, considering abah's condition. but abah was the one beria & initiated the discussion since my brother too getting engaged this coming dec. i still remember last raya when my bro asked my mum to look out for engagement ring. ibu & myself were clueless, until ibu finally said "pi lah beli dgn dia, biaq dia pilih. kan dia yang nak pakai.." i nodded to bro & smile, very much agreed to ibu's suggestion...

back to my prep, abah will hire Pakcik Brahim for catering. he used to be our caterer for few of our family events, but yang peliknya, so far i tak penah rasa his food pun hehe...for canopy & props etc, P.Brahim will outsource to other vendor since he only do catering. abah specified his canopies, chairs, layout etc. i like them all, except no. of canopies proposed which seems sedikit for the guest numbers :( nvm, raya haji nanti we'll meet up P.Brahim - will seek for his advise & let him talk to abah should he think the same too :) btw P.Brahim, if u cant find any white+clean+tegang canopy, im fine with whatever you have hehe...

moving on to doorgift, abah agreed to paper pouch yeay! few aunties called up mum & now she proposing for sweets/chocs/agar2 kering as fillers. NOOOOO...i want my eggs..i want my eggs. i know eggs would require last minute job, but pleaseee, the hassle just once-off k....glad that abah's on my side :D

for bunga pahar, we'll buy 200pcs ready made at Jln TAR nanti, ibu nak sangat. my decorator will help to add some deco - she said cheaper than upah her to do a new one...ooo ok :) for bunga pahar hantaran, tradition from fiance-a-proud-johorian, i'll DIY..dah lama sangat perap idea ni & the steps pun sonang je :)

for my 1-tier cake, ibu will order fondant from her friend - subject to outcome of my bro's hantaran cake this dec hehehe :P in-laws pun dah kasi duit to place booking for bertandang cake..but i told fiance for whatever reason do not spend that 4-digits given solely for cake.. membazir, married friends pun remind no guest would stay just to eat the towering cake...we already contacted this vendor for quo, and hopefully in-laws would agree to go for design simplicity too..

btw, fiance & family had 2nd food testing from this caterer. in-laws dah approve, we'll meet up with Syawal this weekend to discuss further...in-laws will decide on menu later. we also praying can tukar the chair ribbon to organza instead of striking fuschia satin hehe..and we dont want any pink table top too...alas meja pun dah cukup...

dropped by kak shaja's blog tadi, found her entry on how to save on wedding cake. seriously, sangat membantu esp for those with no idea on cake pricing, like me ;) i didnt know it could cost a bomb hehehe!

since we'll have acara memotong kek for bertandang, i'd love my home reception to be as casual & homey as possible. no potong kek pun ok, just tiers of cakeballs or cuppies. if mum still insist, i might opt for kak shaja's great tip - one tier cake & sewa je cake stand ...(the sample she posted is real classy...)

no more than 2-tiers

always wanted heavy bush of fresh flowers to crown my cake.

but for my tiffany wedding, i prefer something minimalist. limited or pale hue. less fancy stuffs.

something like below, just a piece of flower per tier. and yes, limit to just 2-tiers!

i dont mind if there is no cake cutting at all.

and i'm still fine with just tiers of cuppies or cakeballs, which normally a potential objection from those called mommies ehehe.

i just foresee it as a must for my indoor reception at his side, but still tak perlu sampai 7- tingkat :P

fresh flower tier cake

hey, i just found this lovely lovely pinkish fresh flower cake!

while most of us prefer the flower topping to be nicely crafted from fondant, me still the classic one who always and forever love the fresh flowers to crown the cake :)

congrats havenlycakes for this wonderful masterpiece, and me proud to say they're Malaysian bakers!

1) my parents leaving for their Hajj

- sad one, i know i shouldnt but i just cant hide it esp when seeing my lil sis

- what i should be doing right now is praying for Haji Mabrur to my parents & Allah permudahkan each and every way for them to complete their ibadah, insyaAllah

2) my newly bought Vios ready to be picked up

- dotty & myself went to sbg jaya showroom, passing my trade-in old kancil for this new Vios. camwhoring with new car, tapi sikit2 je cos still not in the mood huhu

3) sugarbuds has confirmed they cant bake my cuppies doorgift

- hmm, takde rezeki nk taste Kak Wan's cuppies. tepakselah save some space in my car to bring cuppies all the wayyyy from kl. tak best kan?

- to confirm with Azura from Hey Cupcakes for additional order. waa mesti dier bising sbb nanti she'll be busy with Valentine's cuppies ayayaya..nak jugak hehe!

the hantaran cuppies to be made by Hey Cupcakes as i really love Azura's detailing in coming up with cute & adorable lil cuppies. for doorgift i decided to order from sugarbuds as it's in my hometown, so can save some space in my car haha.

i'm about to finalize the cuppies design, too many cute design from Hey Cupcakes sampai dah rambang mata nak yang mane hihihi. my theme would be peach, with a mix of soft pink. for cuppies, i think i should divert sikit color tu cos both peach & pink are soft color, nanti nampak pale sgt pulak :P

design atas tu ok x, the green would make it livelier i think..yes, it's from Hey Cupcakes too!

packaging pun alhamdulillah dah jumpe, nice handmade boxes both for hantaran & doorgift. just nak confirm kan size cuppies betul2..

engagement checklist

it has been a busy week for me; management presentation, weddings, family engagement etc....few days of sleepless night to finish off my presentation and yesterday was the final and today? 2 days MC for having high fever and low blood pressure. i should take a break, and this wedding-blogging thingy is one of my fave therapy !

me & dotty already had our engagement kain, but the tempahan is postponed until i lose some weight hehehe..

as part of my preparation,i'm listing down the hantaran for engagement :

- sirih junjung
- persalinan for him
- cupcakes
- chocs / manisan
- potpourri / bunge rampai

- fruits..

ape lagi yer? (btw, the cupcakes hantaran from Sher Design is so sweeet..)
