D&P affair..

me just got back from sunway pyramid with dotty, and guess what i brought home for dinner? my unbelievably engagement ring! it was again a so called unplanned ring hunting, but the megasale attraction was undeniably irresistable!!

we went through out all jewellery shops in SP, from My Diamond (salesgirl very sombong, banned!), Tomei, Poh Kong, Wah Chan, SK Jewellery and finally D&P was our last stop. Out of these shops, Wah Chan & D&P deserve a 10 for their excellent customer service. Both shops have the ring that i wanted, and which of course fit our budget. like i said, we just went there to survey and we supposed to buy it only in Dec....

Wah Chan is giving 70% disc for all rings, and the one that caught my eyes left with rm1250 (from rm4k++) only!! we just went out as we thought today is just another ring-window-shopping hehe.

but as we went out, my dotty said "bie, i think we shud just buy - it's megasale anyway. when the hell can we get this price nemore rite?" i just kept quiet & we kept walking, until we finally warmly welcomed by D&P staff, Barrin Lim (i think i quoted it right hehe).

Barrin was damn friendly & helpful, he showed us from one ring to another just to make sure we got what we really really want! he even provided us with lots of useful advice, especially in matching my engagement & wedding ring. yes Barrin, the one with rm10k pricetag was damn hard to resist but it's way off our budget hehe.....

after long hrs consultation with him, we finally ended up with above. it was something that i like, few diamonds in the middle (which looks like a big solitaire!), and being 'apit' with micro diamonds at both left & right. as per Barrin, the design was sold out but he re-order for his so-called customer. and that was the last piece left, and the price? surprisingly less than rm2k!! no discount since that was the best price :)

me love it.dotty too. but i still think the price was too much for an engagement, which supposed to be simple. shafaf is right; when it is about me, nothing from head-to-toe is simple haha. kadang2 je la shafaf...

we ended up buying it, considering the price and 0.36c that we get. worth it....and me soo happy!!

again, Diamond & Platinum never dissapoints me. ohh counting the days...lambatnye..

Pameran Pengantin 2008

finally my long waited Pameran Pengantin 2008 in midvalley from 4-7 July 08!! me & dotty woke up early ok, tanak lame2 cari parking lah, mkn cepat2 lah kunun haha..beria2, but at last kul 1 gak br masuk that fair.

the good part of this time wedding fair is, the target crowd is malay hee..before this, lots of chinese ones, expensive and lots of gowns which i dont really fancy for my wedding.

ok, that's the good part. but the best part is ---- lots of famous designers, photographers, decorators were here, giving their best price to lucky ones.to name a few; candidsyndrome, prettypeektures, jovian mandagie, nas great idea, pak abu etc.

me & dotty were actually looking for 'ideas' for our coming engagement. nothing much actually cos most of em will be at penang side. tapi sempat jugak tu we berangan on our far-away-wedding, cam biase la i lebih2 hihi...

bridal wear
my fave will always be jovian mandagie, whose work very much inspired by his indonesian culture. his white lacey wedding dress, with heavy shining beads enough to keep me speechlessly standing, and again to realize for countless times that i cant afford it...! (even the price gone down to rm4k after 50% discount huhu). the next best thing? lavish french lace dress from Glam Collection (sponsor for Dynas' wedding). rm1.5k sepasang with accessories. cantik gile.......yang ini boleh la masuk dlm list yeyeay...

photography

CandidSyndrome still the best, partnering with Jovian for dress+photo package (rm6k). CS offerred rm1488, covering the wedding photoshoot & 10"x12" storybook album. best2, nasib baik lambat lagi. if not x pasal2 ade jugak yang melayang 30% deposit hehe..!! videography mostly rm1k++. penang rm600 je, jgn marah.

invitation card

went to this one booth, the salesgirl is very sombong but the hardcovered cards are pretty, but a little expensive. next stop was LH Creative where i met my long-lost friend, mimi. her kenduri will be in nov, no wonder la ko busy skarang ye~ this booth ramai gile org, the cards are selling cheap & designs were damn niceee...hardcovered rm2.50 je but min order is 500. really fancy this simple white card with silver font, 80cents je...murahnye..cop!!

dais

nas great idea la the greatestttt...and as usual good things dont come cheap :) cheapest they can offer for dais in house is rm3k++. hall starting from rm5-6k if x mistaken, remember STARTING. but one thing i found out about them, they wont repeat any design to the next customer even how much you're dying for that. wow, they really mean "exclusive" here.my budget just rm1.5k & already found some vendors who can fit the theme that i want with our budget *wink* but for now, i'm more on mini pelamin for engagement. cantik kan mini pelamin from zaifie & fathinz ni? (above)

white ribbon invitation

found this comey card from internet. the lady posted somewhere in forum, sorry ye sis nak post gak kt sini cos your card is very nice~ *clap*clap*

if not mistaken, she got it for only 62 cents. a good bargain for a simple but yet very nice design. with ribbon somemore people hee!!

already discussed with dotty. we'll minimize those Bandung hardcovered card to save cost, perhaps for only 150 close friends + parents'-so-called-vip-friends (ade ke?).

the rest, hmm this card pun ok pe, kan kan?

fresh flower hantaran

yeay, already asked quotation for engagement hantaran from my fave 'penggubah hantarans', Sher & Nuwoo8. No wonder their design are much alike, they're friends! But whatever, i love their magic touch on hantarans.

Considered their price very cheap as compared to the rest (i even being quoted rm200 p/dulang for fresh flower, crazy!!). Gotta change my plan to artificial flower (dip/organza/stokin) since the fresh ones might not 'tahan' if i want to pick up 2 days before the event, especially my sweet baby's breath sob sob. so my dotty jelah can opt for fresh flower hantarans cos he'll pick up the fresh-from-oven ones on the day itself & drive it all the way to penang yeeha..!!

one thing left? decision on concept, and either Sher or Nuwoo8? thinking..thinking..

the best concept that i would think of now......mcm kat atas tu huhu...cantik dulang curvy2 tu :P
