today, fiance joining myself at nearby Old Town to sort out wording & detail for our wedding card (since we'll be sharing one!). we had to finalize asap as the order will be made this weekend, together with our doorgifts.
we fixed out the doorgifts, and their packaging. we had to line up some backups in case the vendors reject sebab tak lepas minimum quantity hehe..tomorrow i'll meet up fira, she has agreed to help me out with photoshop-ing the monogram....
since fiance wont be around during the card ordering, we discussed the design & layout for the card too - of course, there were moments we agreed to each other & fight over little little things :) one of stuff we bertekak was the agenda for majlis bertandang. ideally, we want the majlis to start 8.30pm, but based from experience, it's most likely to slip..and usually 8.45pm baru start kan..so we argued what's the best timing to put in our card for "ketibaan pengantin" to alert the guest what's the latest time they should already be in hall hehe...so friends, i need your opinion...

just put 8.00 o clock la kakak. because based on experience, when they state come at 8, 8.30 pon ada guess still tak datang lagi.
and some more, they come and then they see their friends and you know where that goes to, so give them time to settle down. haha.
rasanya 8.00pm would be just nice kot..normally ketibaan tetamu dulu kan before pengantin..so for ketibaan pengantin make it at 8.30pm..after pengantin dh lepas pintu masuk,tutup pintu hall sothat yg dtg lmbt tak boleh masuk dah..hahaha.. ( sila jgn cubit saya.huhuu)

i agree, puta at 8 pm kot. Because some will settle down at 8.30 camtu. Based from experience, if letak 8.30 ketibaan pengantin, 8.30 tula ketibaan guest and in the end pengantin terpaksa tiba at 9pm.
Nanti diorang yg datang lambat, pastu complain2 lapar and majlis tak start lagi, kena dengar speech and tgk slide shows. aiiii..macam2 la mulut diorang ni.

From our experience 8pm was best...and ketibaan pengantin we put 8.15pm so that everyone settle down cepat..but actual the pengantin came out at 8.30ish..but it worked out well coz many came early because ketibaan pengantin was at 8.15pm..but make sure they are somewhat entertained, so then tak complain lapar...
for my cousin she put slide show of her malam berinai and tunang but left the nikah pics during the official slide show..
babe..ltak 8pm. ketibaan pengantin could be 8.30 pm. lambat sangat nanti guests lapa. hihi.

thanks elly! if kat perdana felda they give some kerepek, at least guest can munch something before event start..have to ask my caterer if they baik hati to provide similar thing heee ;P
in my card, i put 8 for ketibaan tetamu and 830 for ketibaan pengantin. tp pengantin masuk 850. such things happen... especially kalau reception kat kl. jln jem kononnye.
and sab's idea mmg bagus. tidbits jgn lupa. can buy kerepek bundle besar n serve :P entertainment, if u have liveband... ask them to come early and play as early as 8pm. mcm my case aritu, the ghazal team came a bit late. but by 830 they started to sing, so no harm.
