Pameran Pengantin - personal review!

i owed something. if not to you the bride-to-be loyal readers, it must be to my very own wedding blog. i didnt write anything yet about my last visit to Pameran Pengantin held at Plaza Alam Sentral . dah basi kan ehhe.

i didnt expect much, really. i just love to pay a visit to any wedding exhibition - just to get the latest trends in wedding & of course, the price range they could offer :)

this time around, my survey was more on catering & pelamin, hall deco for our God-knows-when majlis bertandang. Shah Alam is our preferred location since they could offer nice hall at quite affordable rental, and we also have shortlisted this one hall *wink* since it's majlis bertandang, we would prefer smaller crowd, about 500 pax. and preferred setting is seated dome-style, if within budget ;)

cheapest that we've got? rm25 p/pax not including kerusi & meja, cos the beloved hall dah provide meja & kerusi banquet best..best. we requested no deco at all by caterer. we planned the deco to be outsourced to only one designer together with pelamin - just to ensure everything synchronize with the theme. and theme doesnt limit to COLOR, okay. this is no joke, brideys - SYNCHRONIZATION is something to be assured of.

for pelamin, the choice was Debunga! love the elegant dark panels and they've great portfolio, too(not in their webbie). quotation pun boleh tahan la, selagi fits the budget kan hehe. oh anyway, pelamin from Creative Elements pun cantik, but tropical/nusantara signature just NOT my thing, esp for banquet reception - cos i'd rather spend such amount for more and moreee flowers hihi..! but for home pelamin nikah, yup tropical thingy is indeed nice one to invest, like below :)

for baju pengantin, dotty boleh adore yang ni for his wear..? err, i told him (of course with teasing look) "well, if you dare enuff to wear this, you must be generous enuff to spend me any dress from Jovian or Cosry right.." GET IT? Synchronization, again. Oh btw, the outfit from Indonesian boutique, now opening her home-based in Subang Jaya. And the rest were part of her collection too. My Zafira got the quotation rm3.7k for 3 psg dress pengantin from that lady and she asked me the worthiness. simple. minus the akad nikah outfit, pls - cos the design's too much for nikah in our kampung, and lengan jarang2? honey, think about the nikah guests too, ya ;)

we fight over the phone again. it's the 3rd time for today ALONE.
he did something that i really hate to talk about here. i think it's too much.
and i no longer hide my anger this time. for that, he said i crossed the line.

alhamdulillah, i'm done with the interview. their HR told that only 3 candidates were shortlisted for the interview, and i was the 2nd candidate. one thing that i could wrap here, the interview did NOT turn out well, really. nothing much to hope, so let's just wait for the result next week. by the way, their perks were hell attractive. one of it : fuel & parking allowance rm700 p/mth bleh? my co yg own that klcc pun xde nak kasi parking free tau for staff, apetah petrol? *grumpy*

anyway, mum called 2 days ago. she didnt like my chosen engagement bedsheets. neither the newly bought Aussino nor the Jean Perry yang simple dan dah agak worn out itu huhu. instead, she rent the bedsheet from bridal house nearby and err, it's YELLOW! you read it right baby. not sure how it will fit my peachy pink theme, but i'm freakingly praying it WILL haha.

sempat lagi my mum tanye pasal pelamin cos the bridal lady suggested mini pelamin yang duduk atas bantal tu. i politely (sangat lah) refused cos tanak nampak all the bulgy tummy haha alasan baik punye kan? btol pe. mum offer to rent nicer bench cos she didnt like the bench that we have at home. no need to bazir lah bu, just use our bench okay? mmg lah a bit klakar cos bench tu panjang sgt...but to put another hundreds for another bench, hmm i dont think so ;)

Jln TAR outing & updates

i have tonnes to update, it's either blogging-marathon today or the day after tomorrow.

cos tomorrow i'll be busy preparing for my job interview coming Wed. O&G co from Canada but the position will base in Menara Citibank, next to my current office. heard lots about their good pay, but not sure how far is that good ? Try jelah, if ade rezeki insyaAllah. if not, take it as a good experience of job interview after 2.5 wonderful years of working right. hey i must be forgotten, this is wedding blog! so let's back to wedding stuffs..!!

Lion & myself went to place where Malaysian brides just cant get enuff with - Jalan TAR! The plan was to get remaining deco to get my porpourris done at SSF & of course, collecting my cheap cheap dangling crystal chain at Semua House.

Earlier we went to Euro Moda. Not for me. My darling Lion was looking for her engagement outfit finalllllly. The theme is Go Green, sounds so eco-friendly haha. The chiffon package was rm480 inclusive of 4m chiffon + 4m satin lining + 4m groom's satin. not bad.

She wanted full beading chiffon. Knowing her, she's simple type and suggested her for border chiffon instead. more elegant i think. and she was only convinced after series of try-and-error chiffon wrapping at her bods ngehehehe. further, we berjaye pujuk the indian SA to give us 5m chiffon in order to get full beading for leher, tangan, border baju & border kain. tips ye brideys, 4m seriously not enuff if you want full beading :)

We got the baby flowers we're looking for at SSF. and some red petals for my bed deco. and my not yet done tulip bouquet weeehu!

after few hrs of our hardwork (Lion + me), this is how the potpourris mini jars turned out......... ya, not as pretty as what Mya did but for beginner boley la kan hihihi.

i'm listening to Aizat's Lagu Kita while writing this....another wedding song to be, perhaps :)

to-do list for today, fuh

it's Federal Day and again........another HOLIDAY!! yahooo.

my to-do list for today :

1) sms my aunt to order Patchi for dotty's hantaran. she can get extra discount on top of inflight shopping price hehe..
2) buy dates for my hantaran at BSC. to mr. dotty - Patchi is soo typical. tak boring ke....?
3) check with Dinigifts on besties doorgift delivery. kate dah hanta?
4) check with Aisram on cuppies box delivery. Azura nak extra 1 box for sample to her future customer.
5) meet Nasz to pass out hantaran stuffs by noon
6) appoinment with D&P in Mvalley to resize my engagement ring. harap2 free lagi la..
7) sweets for additional doorgift to kiddie. cuppies not enough since expected guests around 100..
8) call Baby/Ijad to request for stairs deco FOC bley..?
9) confirm with aunty on our convoy this 13th.
10) 2hrs-boring-daily-routine @ gym *yawn*

last but not least, my to-do before sleep - TO FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM AGAIN, AND CHERISH EVERY MOMENT OF IT.

parents & wedding

Last CNY was spent in A Famosa Resort with my family. First family gathering since our parents’ return from Hajj, I should say I really really missed such moment. We all do, in fact.

Me & parents lepak by the pool je while rest of my siblings sibuk bermain air di waterpark. And there was the whole wedding conversation started. Since my parents will be meeting his parents the next day, they started discussing about mas kahwin, hantaran etc.

I made it clear to my parents kemampuan dotty for mas kahwin + hantaran should not exceed 1x,xxx. Alhamdulillah, they were very understanding and in fact, my dad kate tak payah duit hantaran pun takpe sbb yang wajibnye just mas kahwin. Eh, mane boleh kan hehe. Not that I’m demanding but at least duit hantaran tu more or less will later show his effort to seriously and sincerely take me as his wife. Amount doesn’t have to be berbelas-belas K lah of course, yang penting bagi jugak sikit. Just an opinion, no judging pls.

My parents agreed to have my wedding in nearby Dewan Milenium. Erm, why not my own home? I’m so wanting it to be at home :( Abah ok je if kat rumah, just his comment hall tu ade aircond so lebih selesa for guests. For mom, she didn’t want to gile2 kemas rumah, penat. True, I should think about my mum cos I know she’ll be the busiest person throughout my wedding later. Mengalah..?

This evening we’ll be on ring hunting again *grin*. Wanted something like below, but Lion kate the design was so auntiessss hahaha!! But for me, I think the ring looks very solid.. Habib KLCC doesn’t have such, Selberan punye mahal sgt smpi 800++, too much for a merisik ring la. Tomei ade around 500++, but kuning nye agak weirdooo. I never liked Tomei anyway, their discounts are super ridiculous and the band gile ringan for their discounted price. blah..
